Etihad Status Match - Any Point for Velocity Members?

Also received an Etihad statement today, but my tier remains as Base :-(

Same here so I assume that means they won't be matching my Velocity Gold.

Got my statement yesterday also and found as a Velocity Gold I was matched to the Gold Tier.

Thanks for posting about confirmation people, I deleted the email from yesterday thinking I had not been matched and went back and checked today after your post and I am Gold as well.

Confirmed online as well;

I think the terms of the promotion specifically said they were only offering Gold status. I applied as Velocity WP and was given Etihad Gold.

The transaction details on my account say "Etihad Guest Gold Card dispatched" on 8 June. So it would appear I will be getting a card at some point.

Hi Extasea33, I found these details about the EY Gold, which seem pretty good. Go to the Etihad Guest site and go into->About us/member benefits/Etihad Guest Gold
My understanding is that you have status for the rest of this year + 2 calendar years+ 3months "grace".
Tier miles and Tier segments for Tier upgrade, are calculated annually, which suggests to me this would be one year from the date you were matched to Gold

Yes that is how i how I see it too, but it might be that I can requalify in any of the 3 years with 40k miles the wording is not completely clear. However what i am also confused about is do you get 3 years if you have been status matched? My card is apparently mailed so I guess time will tell.

Also as a matter of interest to those that have heard nothing, I only sent in my UA*gold for match, yet my brother sent in UA* Gold, Velocity plat, CX diamond & EK gold and the statement of his most impressive one and still nothing....

Not even a confirmation email but when I logged into Etihad Guest I noticed my Tier had changed to Gold .

If you log into Etihad Guest it will be in your mileage statement.

Ahh, I see mine saying dispatched on 8th June too.

They'll probably dispatch a card once you have flown with them. Prob to stop freeloaders or avid FF card collectors
