Wondering if anyone has any experience hiring convertibles in Europe at a reasonably price?
I'm a fan of scenic drives and Europe is pretty much where it's at. However, my initial research has shown that hiring reasonably affordable convertibles is really only feasible in France and Germany, where Sixt offers SLKs / Z4s at around EUR 150-200 per day (still expensive, but probably the cheapest I've come across around the world, other than the US where you get the muscle cars for around US 130-200 per day).
It seems like the major car rental companies (including Sixt) don't even give you these classes of vehicle options outside of those countries.
Has anyone come across any other car rental companies or other suggestions in European countries other than France / Germany for decent cars?
There's an abundance of amazing drives in Europe - it would be a shame to be doing it in a Toyota Corolla.
