Rendang today in MEL J.

Absolutely zero spice, but some sambal oelek from the condiments section fixed that.

On again today with similarly lack of spice or any resemblance to a Rendang.

But the beef brisket noodles are good (along with essential pimping with sambal and pickled ginger). Pondering going back for 2nds.

I'm not through frequently enough to know for sure, but I think/recall from comments above it may be a fortnightly rotation. Of course could be mistaken.

The pork stew was a bit meh but enjoyed the Beef Brisket noodle soup.
(I have since cleaned the lens on my phone!)

Asked the attendant how often the dishes were rotated, his response was "every season"

That is a shame. When you see that kind of menu item, you imagine bone or meat stock broths boiled for hours, and a generous pour in the bowl. The picture looks like it's just beef stock from a carton or even packet. There's no chance that stock can adequately give that beef some depth. I love coriander but that shouldn't and won't lift up the whole dish.

I can't imagine what the vegetarian bowl is based on; of course they wouldn't use the same beef broth, but then what kind of effort would they put in to make a good vegetable one if this is what the meat broth is?
