Qantas.com.au showing flights ex SYD/BNE-TPE return in J for c$3600.

Flights on EVA Air (via BNE) with a QF flight number so full SC/FF point earn.

Have checked only for the rest of November.

240 SCs ex BNE...

NB, if you're after raw SCs, and don't care about the service, Jetstar is cheaper ex-OOL (and earns more SCs), circa $1300 each way Business Max, or $850 without the Max Bundle.

it looks like all the JQ flights go via Osaka...

LOL didnt think so either would have been nice:D By the way how many status credits for the Business Max for this trip?

I´m not sure precisely but when I was looking into it the Jetstar Website clearly states that QFF points (and one can thus only assume SC) are only earned at the business class rate ``when sitting in the business class cabin.```
As there is no J cabin on Jetstar Asia between Osaka and Taipei one wouldn´t be earning J points/SC for the whole trip. That and you`d be flying JQ/3K .

Does anyone know why EVA fly to BNE and not SYD? I would've thought there are more people with Taiwanese connections in SYD.

In any case isn't the EVA/QF codeshare ending soon with EVA joining *A?

Hardly authoritative, but might give some indication:

And yes, I believe QF have annouced they will stop code-sharing in the near future. Clearly though they are still selling codeshare flights ATM.

OT but a LOL at the worlds longest sentence on the wiki page:

This has consequently been a subject of controversy especially with those of the Pan-Green coalition in Taiwan that advocates Taiwan independence, that contradicts Australia's One China Policy to the island of Taiwan with recognition of People's Republic of China as the sole government of China that Taiwan is a part of China, and One China Policy adopted by Australia is different from the perspective of the United States that Australia does not have a "Taiwan Relations Act", but Australia does have a (number of) domestic Racial Equality-related Act(s) since Multiculturalism of Australia after the era of White Australia Policy from 1980's onwards as Australia was preparing to integrate in Asia, therefore, the term "Taiwanese Australian" officially refers to the broader Asian Chinese community in Australia (People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan).

Um... come again? :p

Just needed the term "programmatic specificity" in there to make it complete! To be fair to the wiki contributors - an exact and precise explanation of Taiwan and China's diplomatic standing with other nations can be a difficult one to explain.
