Not sure if it'll work that way as your current subscription remains valid until the end of the year you purchased (i.e. cancelling doesn't immediately kill off the "benefits"). Also, it remains to be seen whether tomorrow's half price deal is open to existing/prior subscribers, or just aimed at new subscribers?

Good to know. I might cancel anyway, use my 10% before the 13th November and then see what comes around. If I don't get an offer prior to December, I can just resubscribe for what I was going to pay anyway.

I suppose that I would only be classed as a "returning subscriber" after my current subscription ends on 13th November.

Per the terms and conditions, provided you resubscribe by December 18th you'll be able to get the half-price membership.

Yes, I should have been clearer in my previous post. Agree the current membership needs to expire, after which time you would have until December 18th to resubscribe and get it for half price.

I didn’t get any emails about it, and they definitely wanted to charge me $70 if I hadn’t cancelled before my subscription ended, so I don’t think so.

I just looked, my subscription ends in mid December. So I guess no use cancelling now? As I wouldn't be eligible to resign up with the discount in November.

As long as your sub ends before Dec 18, you should be able to take advantage of it.
