Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

We're going to have to read things carefully and keep track of things. It's strange that some offers have to be activated and some don't. It appears that Woolworths are improving the offers. It also appears that they might be keeping the percentage rewards consistent against the target.

It used to be that the more they wanted you to spend the less percentage off they were prepared to offer you. If the $110 WWD for $340 works then some people who spend large amounts at Woolworths may get rewarded at the same rate as lower spenders.

I think I misread the $110 offer. I am guessing it's $55 per week back but you have to spend $340 each week to get the reward. The reward isn't as good as some lower target offers but it still makes a difference.

Someone is paying for the $55 per week back somewhere, I think woollies is setting themselves up for a fall.

Matt

Looks fairly consistent at approx. 1/6th back.But mine is attainable.Spend $30 for 2 weeks and get back $10.

Over 15% off (on top of WISH 5%) is a very good discount at a time when supermarkets would expect high sales.

I think they must have lost plenty of customers with the first iteration of $WW

Wife - spend $30 for 2 weeks and receive $5 discount each week. Had to activate offer. One transaction only.

I apologise if this has already been posted. I was confused about $WW redemption and was hoping to maybe hold onto my $70 bonus (2 x $200 shops for 2 x $35) until the QF points offer comes into play. But, according the the T & C this is not possible.

  1. You must scan your Card before the transaction is completed at the register to automatically redeem your Woolworths Dollars and receive money off your Eligible Shop of $10.00 or more;
  2. 1 Woolworths Dollar equals one AUD $1 off your next Eligible Shop. The redemption rate of Woolworths Dollars is determined by Woolworths and may change at any time;
  3. You cannot choose the amount of Woolworths Dollars that you redeem on your next Eligible Shop. When you make your next Eligible Shop and scan your Card at the register, the amount which is the highest multiple of $10.00 (or such other multiple as notified by Woolworths from time to time) below your next Eligible Shop amount in your Woolworths Dollars balance will be automatically deducted from your shop.
  4. If you do not use all of the Woolworths Dollars in your next Eligible Shop the remaining balance is retained and can be used in subsequent transactions in multiples of $10.00 as per clause 4.2.1.2 above.

Check your offer carefully.

If you have an offer that can be fullfilled over multiple transactions then in theory you can split your shop into transactions of <$9.99 or less to fullfill the $200 target but you never shop enough to redeem the minimum $10 discount.

In doing this I am not sure if current Woolworths dollars can be transferred across to Qantas when the partnership is back in full swing.

My understanding is that the current Woolworths dollars will be redeemed on your next eligible shopping trips at Woolworths. At the moment you don't get to choose when to redeem.

It's a good offer for me as I easily spend that amount weekly.

Mum - spend $100 earn $10 Woolworths dollars

Strange offer as this is also week 2 of offer that runs for 3 weeks and this week it is spend $40 earn $15 Woolworths dollars. Will be interesting to see what happens.

As I was typing the previous post my partner's account received a targeted offer for the next 2 weeks. Spend $30 and get $5 Woolworths dollars. It's the first offer he's had under the new system. I have lots of decisions to make in the next few weeks. Of course, the question I really have to answer is how many shopping trips I want to make in the next few weeks when I have the children with me.

I received and activated this offer, yet the WW$ never hit my account on the qualifying spend - sent the receipt details to WW and they have come back asking for the email, as they can't see it on my account.

I am guessing it's a glitch but a touch annoying none the less

Wife - spend $100 and earn $10 Woolworths dollars but need to scan card and barcode (why?)
Me - spend $100 and earn $10 Woolworths dollars but need to scan card and barcode (why?)

Wife also has an offer over the next 2 weeks of spend $30 and earn $5 Woolworths dollars. Why are multiple offers sent at once?

The $10 offer from $100 is a general offer dressed up as a targeted offer. General offers and targeted offers can run back to back. Woolworths know that sometimes their catalogues don't get distributed to all the right places so they are sending out the same barcode by email. The email might also include an online code which wasn't listed on the catalogue so they are also trying to reach out to their online customers so they don't feel left out due to the barcode on the catalogue only being available in store.

Most but not all of our family members received the email with the barcode in it.

If it is a general offer I don't understand the need for a barcode. Just give $10 off to everyone who spends > $100 this weekend.

Mum and dad miss out because they don't use email and browse through catalogues occasionally. Hoping the barcode was readily available at the checkout.

Exactly - it seems silly to have the requirement for a barcode to be used, especially for people like your Mum and Dad (and mine) who don't/rarely use email and also those who don't receive the catalogues in the mail, or can't get them at a store - our local Woolies runs out of catalogues by Wednesday afternoon, so no hope of picking one up there.

I would suggest it's done on purpose as a way of limiting the number of $10 off amounts given out.

I think I am being served by the work experience kid currently.

1 - I anticipate they will ask for receipt details and amount of spend. They ask me to send me a copy of the e-mail offer.
2- I send them the offer, they acknowledge they are having issues in their system but not ask me to send them a copy of the voucher, plus the details of the receipt.
3- I have sent them both the receipt details and the e-mail, yet they are thinking I am using the $100 spend for WW$10. Face palm material isn't it.
