No worries. I will see what is printed on the card when it turns up. Regardless of 2015/16 it is a bonus in any case. It will now see me on the odd VA flight.

got matched to Gold too,
looks like it was more than 500 people at any rate.

I'm not sure this will give me any extra benefits than my current VA gold though? Also as far as I can tell it only gets you into the standard (Al Reem) Lounge.
Either way, still nice to have.

Honestly, I can't think of a logical reason why they matched me. I live in Perth. Not like Etihad flies to PER currently.

I was matched for QF Gold. Maybe flying out of BNE has some bearing on the outcome...

Nope, I fly out of BNE, but I was matching to VA gold

I applied June 10 as well, however was successful.
Maybe MEL and QF WP helped get me over the line.

Every body was given a number from 1 to 20, they corresponded to a beasts number in Wednesdays camel race, those whose number came in 1st 2nd or 3rd got Gold!

Just logged on and now Gold as of the 13th so matches have started

Just logged onto Etihad Guest and I see I've been matched to Gold too. Card dispatched on the 13th.

Strange they don't send out an email notification though.

I misread everybodys' posts. I thought we had been emailed status match notifications, so I thought I missed out.

Rereading the thread again, I logged into my account and found the magical words: Your Level: Etihad Guest Gold

I applied 12 June with VA SG.

I applied on June 3rd and heard nothing back.

I followed up about 2 weeks ago, and just got a reply back saying that someone from that department will respond in 24-48 hours.

When I logged into my account, I see it's now matched to "Etihad Guest Gold"
