Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Sam Kekovich in VA J class yesterday. As we disembarked he said in a loud voice to the woman (stranger) who sat next to him "Don't forget to have lamb on Australia Day" :D Made me smile despite the delayed flight and other travel dramas of the day.

Ha! I've sat next to him in J too! He's a real character. I enjoyed chatting with him.

Paul Sherwin (the "voice of cycling") in the ADL QP on Sunday straight after the final stage of the Tour Down Under. He was sitting with one of the Ch. 9 dudes and Kate Bates from SBS.

This is from a long time ago (September 28, 2012), but Yao Ming was hanging out in the Qantas lounge in Perth International waiting to take a China Southern flight. He's the tall guy hunched over on the jet bridge.

Hah! He was in J, but I asked him almost the exact same question about whether J was comfortable. He just shook his head and looked sad.

Mark Taylor, Brett Lee and Mike Hussey all sitting next to me on the way to Hobart this morning - all very nice guys.

Also, Sam Worthington just got pulled up by security at SYD. It appears he was carrying some hair clippers in his carry on.

Neil Perry, a few weeks ago in the QF Flounge, where we were both waiting for QF11 to LAX. He was probably going to the "G'day USA" event where Qantas was having an event. I was surprised to find him in the Flounge, for I'd expected that he'd be a CL member. But he was at least later sighted travelling in F.

He is a CL, but there's no such thing as a Chairmans Lounge internationally - they have to slum it with us plebs.

He also catered for hugh Jackman's Australia day bash in NYC.Not surprisingly served up lamb NPPPs.

Apparently there is another separate area in the SYD F lounge for ultra VIPs - I think someone saw Charlize Theron going there in the spotters thread?

Sometimes they'll reserve tables in the dining section or one of the mini offices for celebs or CLs, but I'm not aware of any separate area for "ultra VIPs".

Indeed mrsdrron spied her heading towards the QP past the Flounge accompanied by a QF staff member. They had just got out of the lift going to that level.
I doubt she was being taken to the QP.

Oh, so was this secret entrance on that long walkway outside of the F lounge entrance? or do you mean inside the F lounge frosted glass doors but before the garden feature wall and the escalator?

Whenever I've departed from SYD int, I've never gone to the J lounge, only F (not sure if that is a good thing) so I've never taken note of what is on that walkway....
