Fair enough re your enthusiasm for paying RRP when we're in a sea of excess, high quality wines. I would not put Wendouree (unless you mean Windowrie), but especially Rockford & Sami-Odi, at the modest end of RRP spectrum - so I'm not clear why Maverick draws your special ire. Surely Ron is entitled to decent recompense for all the dung filled cowhorns he must bury under the moonlight, only one among many labour intensive tasks of biodynamic farming. And it seems people are willing to pay. That aside, if there's a particular wine I want, can't find it discounted, yet think it worth the RRP, then that's what I do. If you mean Peterson's of the Hunter, then yes, ditto Scarborough for The Obsessive (white label) Chardonnay, to name a couple.I pay RRP often. Wendourie, Rockford, Sami-Odi, Standish, Wild Duck Creek estate, Thomas Allen, Petersons, Piggs Peake etc none have ridiculous RRPs like Mavericks although some could.
