Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I would guess it was a personal trip because I think the big 4 CEOs fly private for work.

Not sure about that - she was on a QF flight SYD-OOL in 1C that I was on recently...

Common misconception I think.

Most ASX20 executives fly commercial most of the time. There are some occasions when flying private makes sense, but Australian companies don't have fleets of private jets sitting around like our American friends.

Was anyone on the same QF F flight as Taylor Swift recently?
From her IG, looks like the view from 2A/3A..

Red Foo and some Murdoch's flying from SYD to MEL just now

I was sitting behind Foo and really just wanted to mess up his hair more!!!

I was in the MEL J lounge a couple of weeks ago and recognized comedienne Fiona O'Loughin having a few white wines with another person within 15 metres of the service desk.

Flight to Adelaide gets announced. Final call for all passengers travelling to ADL...
If passengers Fiona O'Loughlin and ?? are in the lounge please proceed immediately to gate xx
If passengers Fiona O'Loughlin and ?? are in the lounge please see the service desk. Finally, "Oh was that us? I'll go and see..."
Comes back "we missed our flight somehow, they said they called us but I didn't hear anything"

I guess I could have interrupted and said I think you are being paged, but I didn't.

I recently watched an ABC doco on her struggle with alcoholism in which she said she doesn't drink any more? :(

The not really famous walking into SYD T1 last night.Phillip Adams

He's easily as "famous" as any number of soap-opera actors or football players who have littered this thread.
(tbh I'd probably recognise Adams, but wouldn't know Taylor Swift if she came up and belted me in the crotch with one of her dead cats. Is she an animal rights activist or something?)

David Hall , boss of Jetstar on a recent flight MEL-DPS.

The wife said to me (sitting in what passes for J in JQ). "That fellow in the 2nd row looks familiar", just I was flipping the pages of the Jetstar mag, to see his pic !
I overheard him say to his companion that he was to stay just the 1 night before flying back to Oz.
We later saw him in immigration, being whisked past us great unwashed, even though there seemed not to be any Express VOA service operating that day.

Derryn Hinch on EK406 in J on Friday.

I wonder how he goes with ticking the criminal conviction box on his entry form.

chicka is freaking out over seeing Matt Preston (Masterchef fame) on QF438 in 3D, while she sits in 4C, across and behind him.

I sense a photo request when we get to Sydney.

Jimmy124 noticed three males directly ahead of us in the security line yesterday in MEL. I can't remember their names - but he said they were all part of The Block and one was the Editor of Vogue.

QF WP - In front of us yesterday, was Neale Whittaker, Darren Palmer and John McGrath - of The Block fame.

I regularly say to samh004 "why do we have to fly? I hate planes" today I find out why we should fly instead of drive. No regrets about pretty much running off the plane to catch up to him for this moment. Not a bad first post either ;)
