NSW Swifts (netball) team in Adelaide VA Lounge and on my flight to SYD now. Some of them could have done with J seat legroom.

Had to duck and weave through them in my hotel goyer
Totally enjoyed this L. Fond greetings to +1. I read of leg room , as I post with free wifi over Central Europe, in 2k on the QR A388. I feel lucky today. Happy travels. John.
I agree. Although they aren't as good as the VixensI would not mind bumping into some of them
Is the free wi-fi only for the F cabin John? I will be flying QR BKK/DOH in whY on the A380 at the end of the month so I guess that would be a tad optimistic to expect it in whY. I did manage to allocate a window seat upstairs though. Ho hum.
I flew from SYD to CHC last year and on the same flight was the Dalai Lama. He was very pleasant. His entourage, not so much.
Don't you just love the celebrity entourage & how they adore basking in the reflected glory of the famous one? Most of the time whenever you hear a celebrity causing a ruckus onboard an aircraft or altercation with airport security it's invariably always the entourage.
Just watched the Whirling Dervish's perform in Istanbul and ran into an old favorite of yours Oz - David Koch and the Sunrise team, doing a peice on the performance. Kind of cheapened the whole experience knowing that he is here and will no doubt be in Gallipoli in a few days time adding to my enjoyment of Anzac Day.
Agreed Groundhog, certainly a smudge on the fabric of Australian society. Yet I briefly met Bruce McAvaney in the Virgin lounge last week and he is a charming, intelligent and balanced contributor to the Seven team. Seven should do some psychological tests and have a cleanout.Just watched the Whirling Dervish's perform in Istanbul and ran into an old favorite of yours Oz - David Koch and the Sunrise team, doing a peice on the performance. Here's an interesting one- got blocked from going into a lift by some sort of hired muscle. Realised they were bodyguards for some Asian (Japanese is my best guess from the garb) man. The guards looked at me very suspiciously the whole time.
He has a suite(s, actually) near mine at the Hilton Prague, top floor. When I got home that night the guard was posted outside his door, and the room is at the end of the corridor so no one would be there by mistake.
They also have rigged up an extra cctv camera monitoring the hallway and door!
The guard changed shift sometime in the morning so he must be someone special.
I think they left today but we're there over the weekend at least. Any thoughts/any good googles for ideas?
This doesn't exactly fit the "on a plane" or "in the lounge" scenario however....
On Saturday morning May 9, 2009 I landed in Johannesburg from London not realising it was the inauguration of newly elected President Jacob Zuma. I was booked into the Sheraton Pretoria which is directly opposite the Presidential Palace where the inauguration was to take place. The hotel car wasn't able to access the hotel directly so I ended up walking the last 2km to the hotel as police had blocked off access. Checked into the hotel with a huge amount of security. For breakfast that morning I was ushered to a table in the lounge again with a huge amount of security on the floor. Other guests for breakfast that morning were Robert Mugabe (President of Zimbabwe) and Morgan Tsvangirai (Zimbabwe Opposition Leader). A visitor to the hotel that morning was Col. Muammar Gadaffi for a meet and greet with Mugabe.
