I assume you're referring to Joe Aston's column? Once I get my fix in this thread, I go read the Weekend AFR to see who made an appearance in the SYD F lounge this week.
Aston is well known to key QF corporate affairs personnel - I'm quite sure they keep him posted on who comes and goes from lounges.
I had wondered previously whether he checked this thread, too.

Stretching the meaning of famous but saw Caroline Wilson & Peter Fitzsimons (travelling separately) at QP at OOL.
I was sitting right at the entry and heard Peter declare he was a Chairman's Lounge member. The receptionist looked as impressed by this declaration as I was.
What was he expecting by saying that I wonder?
Wouldn't they have through checked her baggage in MEL through to LAX?
