Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Sat across the aisle from Kerry O'Brien on a flight today. I noted he had a glass of red - clearly debunking the claim that he is a chardonnay socialist!

I still don't think that's the reason his nickname is 'Red Kerry' nor do I think it's because he's a ranga. :-)

On QF525 on Sunday, BNE-SYD, we had Jimmy Barnes and wife in row 3 in J, but in row 1 we had Richard Wilkins doing what he does best, looking like death warmed up, taking calls on his crackberry (I didn't realise people still had these).

Stretching the meaning of famous but saw Caroline Wilson & Peter Fitzsimons (travelling separately) at QP at OOL. I was sitting right at the entry and heard Peter declare he was a Chairman's Lounge member. The receptionist looked as impressed by this declaration as I was.

Last weekends AFR had an article on the red bandanna being seen in the CL.
Therefore Red Roo kindly tell your superiors that I will never accept an offer of CL membership.:p:lol:

I assume you're referring to Joe Aston's column? Once I get my fix in this thread, I go read the Weekend AFR to see who made an appearance in the SYD F lounge this week.

Aston is well known to key QF corporate affairs personnel - I'm quite sure they keep him posted on who comes and goes from lounges.

I had wondered previously whether he checked this thread, too.

So must have been only me on QF24 overnight!
However at the 4 points for lunch Tara Brown with 2 guys and a couple of folders.Must see what's on 60 Seconds in the future.

What was he expecting by saying that I wonder?

I really don't get the whole pirate get up thing. Capt Jack Sparrow he isn't.

spent the night flying from LAN to ICN on OZ F with Angelina Jolie and her entourage. Think they had 9 seats in F and something like 5-10 in J. Was hard to work out just how big her group was. They sorted flooded into the F lounge at LAX about 30 mins before boarding, but had one of the more private rooms. 3 bouncers were prowling around to ensure no one caused any problems. Was interesting to watch.

Was interesting to see what a "normal" mother she was going around before take off to get the kids settle. She had the seat closest to the toilet and surprisingly even when sleeping didn't close off her suite - pretty much every one else did.

I was tempted to ask for an autograph, but the last thing a mother wants is a distraction when she's herding 6? cats..I mean kids :)

Flew in on QF94 this morning in 16E with a well-known Australian actor beside me in 16F.
After processing through customs, I bumped into her whilst waiting for my limo driver. Julia Morris then introduced me to her husband Dan saying " This is coriander, the man I slept with last night!":lol:
