Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Great pic! Although Hacksaw Ridge was, for me, very disappointing. Kept thinking, why does this guy look like Roger Federer and in the Marines he gets to keep his hair?

Happy that you got to share the glam! I've drunk champagne out of a Melbourne Cup, is the closest I'll get to this.

The character was in the Army not the Marines.

QF 9 landing into DXB about an hour ago, ground staff were holding a sign for a Ms Julia Gillard, whoever she is.

I don't think she was in F, as I would have seen here, so perhaps she was in J?

Were you sneaking through from Y to use the F toilets again, if you weren't, the alternative is almost unimaginable...you have become a flight attendant?

:p

I was heavily drinking in the SkyClub T5 at LAX two weeks ago and spotted something very shiny across the room. The friendly bartender pointed out it was Robert MacKenzie and his Oscar (for Hacksaw Ridge).

Old mate from the bar who was also drinking heavily (ex Fiji Airways pilot, IIRC) and I decided to go and make friends. That thing is HEAVY. Turns out Robert and his companion were in Y a few rows ahead of me on DL41.

P.s Excuse my appearance. Just finished sleeping in a tent for a week. Talk about apples and oranges.

I've worked with Rob on a few projects in the past (in fact, I did a very small bit of work on Hacksaw Ridge...) - it's so bizarre to see him on this page! Even more bizarre to see him up on the stage at the Oscars.

haha, clown.

I'm seated in F of course... on cheap 001 ticket stock of course

I remember in 2009 seeing a very sorry looking Molly Meldrum wandering around the halls of BKK. More recently I saw Remi at the Melbourne VA domestic lounge, poor guy couldn't catch a minute of peace.

Me husband just pointed out Julie Bishop at the LAX Emirates lounge with two offsiders. Hubby wouldn't let me eavesdrop but she was burning up the phone lines.

Was just in the SYD QF J Lounge and saw Adam Spencer (comedian, brainiac and MC/speaker); then he boarded my flight to BNE and sat in 2A (behind me).

But the best one was I noticed a person disappearing down the escalators and raced after her, to catch up before we got to Gate 1. It was ozbeachbabe (unfortunately she was back in Row 5). I tried to send a glass of wine back to her but she had fallen asleep. Lovely to catch up with her and to tell the pax in 1A all about AFF!!

Bumped into the entire Geelong AFL team last week at the VP (Virgin Pub). They were all quite polite and well behaved, and we ended up being surrounded by them. I would say that the players were great, they signed autographs when waiting to board and chatted with fans, we even had a chat with a few of them and they were great. Some of the support staff were quite rude though.

Ended up that Ms Bishop was on my VA2 flight, I expected her to be QF 1st so surprised to see our federal foreign minister in J, in her PJs, sleeping 2 rows behind me.

Federal parliamentarians are no longer permitted to fly in F on the public dime, even when offered a complimentary upgrade.

The GG doesn't fly F either - if J is good enough for Sir Peter and Lady Cosgrove, it's good enough for the pollies.

What! No more silk PJ's or Bose headphones for Wagner!!!! No wonder Bobby Dazzler resigned ;)

I shared a lift with Vicki Wilson at BNE last week.

But I'm quite sure 99% of AFF members won't know who that is 

I do!

Many years ago I ran into Sharelle McMahon and Catherine Cox in the yoghurt aisle in a supermarket in Invercargill NZ when they were there for a test. They are somewhat tall!
