Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Both Gold Coast Suns and Greater Western Sydney Giant players just now at the Melbourne lounge. Interestingly staff came around to hand out Betty's burgers to the GWS players, none to the suns or any other passengers,

That was the reserve teams heading home after their VFL games today.
Clubs can individually request food to be catered for them so perhaps that’s what GWS did

Former pm with the same name as an actor, Sydney to Canberra yesterday afternoon. He seemed to have a minder and most seats in front and behind him on the Q400 were empty.

I spotted Miriam Margoyles at ADL airport yesterday afternoon! I waved over at her, but I don't think she saw. I know her mostly as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter movies :)

I had a good chat with her in Perth earlier this month, she is filming a new travels series about how people get to know a place. I waved and she started talking to me, then I realised I was on camera so I hope I don't make it to air.

Oh

If On air
You’ll be on this thread as famous yourself ….

Sitting next to Brian Hartzer on the hop down to Melbourne. Funnily enough, he was the CEO at Westpac when I had my first corporate job in banking. I had the opportunity to meet him a number of times, and even presented some governance work at one of his leadership team meetings.

Crows in the Virgin lounge in Adelaide. Roped off the end area for them

I'm on a Harry Potter actor spotted-in-airport spree it seems. I still cannot believe my luck on this one!

While in the Qantas F lounge in SYD, I look over and see Tom Felton (actor who played Draco Malfoy). I watch to see if he was in the middle of something, but it looks safe enough to catch his eye and say hello. I was so nervous, but I ended up getting a selfie (he grabbed my phone cause he said he was an expert!). He was so nice, and thanked me for being so polite.

Later as he left the lounge, he waved on his way past :D

What class!
Often a good outcome meeting a celeb is the exception rather than the rule.
Lovely story

Malcolm Turnbull in front of me in MEL security lane. His ipad needed an extra look but took in good humour

Was stuck in the OOL VA lounge last Friday arvo and there was an immense number of football players hanging around for their delayed MEL flight. They didn't seem the usual tall muscly AFL blokes, looked rather ordinary, if fit looking. Turns out they were the Southport Sharks a VFL team. I didn't realise the VFL still existed except as a sort of Melbourne reserve grade competition. I counted 35 players in travelling uniform plus there were any number of support staff and a few WAGs by the look of it. Must be more money in a second tier football comp than I thought.
