Peter Dutton in 1A on VA990 BNE-SYD tonight. Boarding was called earlier than usual (around 7:10-7:15 for a 7:50 departure). Almost makes one wonder if they can deliberately start boarding early to minimize the chances that VIPs are late.

Would it be cynical to suggest that VA sought to demonstrate they (sometimes) have 'reliable on-time departure" as a comparison to another airline that PD may utilise ?
