I just saw the Rabbitohs rugby league team in Qantas domestic Melbourne. Some of the players wandering around the terminal and management at the bar in the food court. Interesting they didn't seem to have lounge access.

Also I always seem to bump into the big guy from masterchef who always wears a scarf. He was seated behind on one flight. Have seen him at the airports a couple of times.

Last year I was on a flight from Sydney to Korea, the Korean music group Girls Generation (SNSD) was also in J. They all looked absolutely stunning even after a 10 hour flight. I had a brief chat with one of them and she seemed pretty down to earth.

Several years ago on a MAS flight from KUL-AKL I was seated next to a Tengku (basically the equivalent of a princess). Although given the number of Sultans in Malaysia there are quite a few Tengkus floating about. But she was absolutely gorgeous and quite fascinating to talk to as well.

Thank god for small mercies. :D

George Negus was probably Johnnie's media shadow. Probably coming up for some electioneering, or the Economic Development of Australia lunch/seminar on today in Brisbane

Probably because they didn't have football jumpers on:) they look so good in public...

Why? I thought Bob Carr was fairly respected across the spectrum..??

As a resident of NSW under his mis-stewardship I have no respect for him on any level. Only two good things to come out of him being given this role - less of him in the country and hopefully the stench of corruption, mismanagement, incompetency might further taint this awful government and usher them from office as quickly as possible.

George Negus and John Howard SYD to BNE this morning.

Looks like it was indeed electioneering as Ten News at Five showing the former PM at a a morning tea at The Gap (in the seat of Ashgrove) extolling the virtues of Liberal candidate Campbell Newman. A minor issue could be that Campbell doesn't reside in the electorate he represents unlike Labor incumbent Kate Jones who was 'born & bred' in the area & is door knocking to the max & we all know how paroquial Queenslanders are.

Good to see you sticking by your original suggestion, simongr! :)
