John Burgess - Virgin Lounge Melbourne a few months back - chatted to him briefly when our flights were announced as delayed. and Max Walker in Virgin lounge in Sydney on Wednesday this week. also Nat Bassingthwaite (sp?) QF lounge a couple of years back - dressed immaculately - vavoom!

Considering Burgo goes on A Current Affair to complain how poor he is as a pensioner and the pension should be raised I'm surprised to a) see him flying and b) see him in the lounge!

Did Baby John get in on the act too? I recall seeing actor Brian Wenzel who played Sgt Frank Gilroy on A Country Practice do the 'poor bugger me' routine on ACA recently or so the ad would have you believe. Seeing the actual story I think he was just being a spokesman for pensioners rather than in that position himself although I could be wrong.

Mind you I'd much rather see the Govt give pensioners more money & cut back on ridiculous wastage elsewhere because as it is they live below the poverty line.

Firm hand-shake, nice guy, good chat and very friendly to me and everyone else who came past.

Was very interesting to watch everyone walk past and see the double takes on some people's faces. Still very much a public personality.
