Judging from this photo this morning I'd say you were correct. Do you have to be in First Class to have a host escort you to the plane or do VIPs get an escort in J? Are the pj's in the photo or F or J pj's?

I suspect the entourage was local - I would have definitely noticed them in the lounge!
