Fare war continues around $900 OZ to USA

Don't forget there can be a small window of getting entire 4 seat rows to your self in Y if you choose off peak times/days which for $900 can be great value. If you're flying as a couple then even more chance of snagging a 4 seat row.

Yes I was offered this on QF93 just last Friday. Didn't need it as I had 32K with a shadow, so was perfectly comfortable for what is a daytime flight to the Aussie body clock.

I still recall the old days of needing a visa to the US. It's only about 20 years since they got rid of them for tourists. I was so proud of my first one, so official and formal-looking

Very unlikely. I've not seen this occur with the last 3 years on any international flight I have been on.

My mother-in-law said there was plenty of space on her MH flights from UK to Au

Great price. But can't use the $400 amex credit there. Unfortunately my wife doesn't seem to think its as good an idea as I do anyway....
