I was going to surprise you guys & gals but better not in case you need to confirm numbers. Already here but might be stuck at work, hope not. Level 19 is now one less availability. All I can say is, I didn't ask for Straitman's favourite! :rolleyes:

Funnily enough my OLCI has me in the 19th floor as well. Maybe we will be across the hall from each other!

Let's see who gets the best upgrade across the group.

Could end up being the party floor, rather than the party room, now wouldn't that be the best send off? :cool:
My OLCI was nothing like that, room allocation changed 3 times before actual check in.

Everytime I look it offers different options.

Best ATM is 9th floor. :confused: :shock: :(

JT have you been talking to people :?:

I checked in online this morning and received a relaxation suite on the 11th floor.
On arrival I asked if there were any suites available on a higher floor but no bananas!

Off to check out DFO before afternoon tea :).
See you all soon...

I'm not as lucky as you guys. At OLCI best I could get was a King Executive room on the 9th Floor, but received King Executive room on Level 17. However I only have Silver status with Hilton and presume you guys are Platinums

Nice to catch up with some of the regular AFF crew and to meet some of the new Pan Pacific management team, who also supplied us with some bubbles and special canapés. Thanks also to Jess for organising and to her and straitman for the wine in the party room afterwards

Thank goodness the red wine ran out or I never would have got rid of the stragglers!

It was a great evening with a good spread from Hilton, I mean Pan Pacific, I mean, ummm ...

Kurt was quite surprised that so many of us had travelled just to stay the last/first night.

Speaking to the various manager who came over to say hi, they are keen to keep our business. It sounds like there are conversations to be had over the next few weeks.

Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come along and share the night.

So meanwhile any information about HH diamonds?
Upgrades, breakfast, lounge access, status match?

Hear hear!! Thanks JT and also hsw management for their kind generosity, very impressed with the bottles of Moët and even more impressed with JT for offering to share her champagne flute with this latecomer. :rolleyes: Oh and also thanks to Straitman and JT for the hsw momento. Sorry I couldn't join you lot for afterparty wine (kinda thankful I'm on L19 and not right next to party central):lol:

A big thanks to JessicaTam for organising this event and also hosting the after party.
I (and my +1) had a great time catching up with everyone and being involved in the excitement of the changeover. It was a real pleasure meeting the various managers and supervisors. They are all so enthusiastic and a credit to the 'old' Hilton and the new Pan Pacific Melbourne.

We decided to stay again tonight. As a GHA Discovery Black member I am entitled to a two level upgrade so I booked a Premier King room hoping for an upgrade to a Pacific Club King room. Luckily we were able to stay in our Panoramic Suite (old Relaxation Suite) for a second night.

We had access to the Pacific Club and benefits include:
* Club breakfast or full buffet breakfast at Dock 37 Bar and Kitchen
* All-day refreshments
* Evening drinks and canapes
* High speed internet
* Business facilities
* Express check-in and check-out services
* Late check-out at 12pm (subject to availability)

New signage has been erected on the top of the hotel as well as over the entrance, in-room phones display the new logo as do door hangers, in-room menus, notepads, etc.
The toiletries are 'em-brace' brand ("Australian designed and owned - exclusive collection for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts by Vanity Group"), however the packaging does not state in which country they are made.

Any changes in the.... Pacific Club?
