Farewell HSW, Hello Pan Pacific 27 July 2017

After 2 emails to Hilton my stay and points have been posted. The email from Hilton went along the lines

"Dear Mr. Thank you for your reply. Since the hotel closed as a Hilton on the check out date, our system will not allow us to post with the correct check in and check out dates. In order to give you the points and the stay and night credits, I have posted the stay with the dates of July 26 to 27."

I can not actual see this in the past stay record however the stays for the year have gone up as to have the points.

So... Pacific lounge is being renovated and temporarily in the gallery. Have to say, for all the talk about increasing offerings and quality... It has dropped. Although there are oysters tonight.

Any idea when the lounge renovations will be complete? I want to wait until then before my next stay.

Many are the same. Rush has left and gone to work for a bank.

We used the 'new lounge' on Jan 23rd and it was almost complete. ie workmen were tweaking a few minor things.

The new furniture should be there about now.

The new setup is very different and the carpet is striking.

Afternoon Tea had real scones rather than the Hilton rock cakes. The canapés were on par.
