Virgin have just notified me of a flight change on the Sunday , I assume as a result of their domestic cutbacks .
They have cancelled VA437 to SYD @ 6.25pm & want to move me to VA431 @ 5.10pm

@Buzzard . Is there an opportunity to bring the return back to the Airport forward , to around 4.30pm ?
In order to get back earlier than planned, we would need to cut something out of the tour. As an example we could have lunch straight after Rockford but would probably not have time for another tasting.
I'm happy to go with what the majority wants but need to know a week out.
I will contact the venues today and confirm that we are still welcome to attend.

Thanks Buzzard I am happy to pass my booking at no charge to a deserving soul. Currently we are in a 14 day lock up quarantine in Perth.
Our London holiday turned into 3 nights there as everything was closing.

Assuming that the Food Festival planned for that weekend isnt going ahead - any ideas what a girl can do on the Saturday?

+1 and myself are still interested pending further domestic travel restrictions. We'll have to wait and see which routes QF and VA will cut before booking anything.

Correct Tasting Australia has been cancelled.

I’d consider placing myself on the bottom of the wait list if that helps anyone and the tour goes ahead....

This is the updated frequency for QF for ADL from 30MAR What it means for actual times , i am not sure. I would expect some schedule updates for those travelling from interstate .

@Buzzard . I will await your update from the venues . I agree you need to go with the majority & if that means me making alternative departure plans , I'm more than fine with that .

I was orgially needed to get back Sunday night, but now with June/July travels unlikley to proceed I will have leave available, so if my Sunday flight is affected I will hopefully just be able to get on one on the Monday instead. Leveraging the free cacnellation/chnage offer atm.

Sorry to hear that you're in quarantine @cove. I'm sure you and Michelle will be fine.

My parents are in a similar situation, having done a rapid return to Melbourne on SQ227 on Tuesday night, arriving yesterday (Wednesday) morning. Straight home in the back seat of a CPV and into a 14 day lockdown quarantine.

I am potentially interested in attending, however I have now committed to attend a wedding in country Victoria on the Saturday night, so I would need to check the ever changing domestic flight schedules to see whether I could fly over and comfortably make it to the convention center before the 08:30 departure time. Given the likely late night at the wedding, this might be a bit of a fool's quest.

Sorry to hear that @cove
If you search up thread you will see somebody is hoping for a ticket, I'd say they are first cab off the rank but it's your ticket, your choice.
@boomy might also be interested.
@BVT was first in line but I spoke to him on the phone and I'm pretty sure he was going to give all travel a miss.

In other news, my return home was on Jetstar to the Gold Coast and those services have been completely cut. I am not going to bother booking anything now incase that gets cut too, but I do have an early morning Saturday BNE-ADL on QF that I will keep (at whatever time that flies) and look to earn some SC on a classic flight back home... as I imagine there'll be loads of availability ;)

It appears that @boomy is next in line. If anyone else has a change of mind I'm sure he'd take 2 tickets.

Sorry to say. Buzz, but I'm having to cancel too.
I am having a Pet scan next week and depending on the result will be having a course of radiation or chemo.
Cheers

All the best with that, I was really looking forward to catching up. i'm sure there will be another tour next year if we prevail upon Buzz's better nature

Hopefully somebody contacts @boomy so he can get his 2 tickets.
Once boomy confirms I'll add him and +1 to the list which will also show availability. If I'm told who boomy gets his tickets from I can show who has tickets available.

Likewise, Gra. I was really wanting to catch up with you and A and Buzz and those I had met on my 2 previous tours. Would have been on more tours but the cough disease intervened. Hope your mobility problems can be resolved.

We’ll be thinking of you next week. All the best, and we’ll catch up next time. Take good care!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.
Please read carefully.

Thinking about some of the up thread posts and the ever changing situation such as Qantas cancelling AFAIK 60% of their domestic flights from the end of this month, travel to and from ADL might become difficult.
I have made the decision to offer a refund to those who no longer are able or wish to attend. This can be done because at this time monies have not been paid out.
If you would like a refund please indicate this by midnight Wednesday 25th March.
For those that want to come along, I'll do my best to ensure something will be organized even if I end up hiring and driving a mini bus. The cost will be shared by those attending and any surplus funds returned as a partial refund.
I'm trying to think and write at the same time so hopefully haven't forgotten anything. If you have a question please ask.
Don't forget the cut off date, Wednesday 25th March and be aware that regardless of anything I say, we are all at the mercy of Government regulation and decisions made by venues.

Edit to add:
If Ruby and I can organize something for later in the year or for some time next year we'll do it. Preference will be given to those booked on this tour whether you cancel or not.
