In my experience, it has been a case of a few Private Messages responding to offers of Guesting, an exchange of mobile numbers and a friendly greeting at the lounge entrance. Now that I've got some status in my own right (airline status, that is - I'm just a pleb otherwise! :mrgreen I'm happy to share the privilege and swap war stories on the adventures of flyng. I don't think there's a designated "meeting point" as such.

Alternately, after following many of the posts, it sounds like you'll find many-an AFFer not too far from the bar (or at a local AA meeting :shock: ).

Some use Planely (I do), some don't.

I would use planely more if it integrated with worldmate (as well as tripit)
I find worldmate much better for automatically processing itineraries

Hi all sorry for the late notice but I'm flying QF business from SYD T3 tomorrow and looking to guest my father (who is not flying therefore I can't guest him myself per the eligibility rules..) into the Syd business lounge.

Would anyone happen to be around ~5:30pm onwards who could help me? In the alternative, what's the likelihood of success of getting him into the lounge?

Tomorrow? I don't get into SYD until late but if you ask nicely at the Business Lounge they may allow you to bring in a guest.
