Feeling ripped off by Virgin advertising - we now serve food and beverage

I think VA using the term food is a stretch....... However QF are also prone to exaggeration on their claims around food. I think its a case of having something in the lounge first if hungry. I still think overall the VA lounge food is better and seems to vary 'a little'.

Pre 7.30am SYD-MEL yesterday and we got 2 raisin and oatmeal biscuits. Not really what I would call a breakfast time appropriate offering.

5pm return flight was the usual cheese and crackers which I am a fan of.

Pretzels and a single cashew nut in their nut mix.
One single cashew nut!
Next time anyone is on a VA "lunch" time flight and get given that soggy sandwich, see if you can find a slim small piece of lettuce in the wich.

Wrong 'chef'... Although if they are activated that would put them out of VA's cost range...

I don't disagree with you, as I said, I frequent the BNE-SYD route and the only time Qantas is cheaper is when they're on sale
I frequent the SYD-BNE route and do quite well booking Qantas early. Hardly ever need last minute flights.

Generally speaking! What is the price difference on that route between QF and VA?
The difference is now $10 on most flights if booking early.

Try $4 difference on the current sale between SYD and MEL that both VA and QF have on at the moment.

I should have said SYD-BNE. The $4 difference is even better. I cannot book Virgin at $10 cheaper. My sanity is worth much more.

Actually, there's a further $0.70 difference for the credit card charges between VA and QF, so that brings the difference for those sale fares to only $3.30!

Hi all, yesterdays food.

Those raspberry muffins are getting a good run out; I've had three of the things in the last three days :-|

On today's 1225 MCY-MEL service it was the cheese and tomato sandwich plus a choice of water, orange juice, tea or coffee.
No lettuce found.
