You'd be thinking of NF I think, with their one 737 and a few props for inter-island travel. That said, prior to collapse, they did use QFF.

Probably not an immediate change re “miles”. AA can already earn and burn on FJ code (but not earn Loyalty miles like you can with QFF).

It would be interesting to understand the motivation behind this decision setting aside the maximisation of revenue/NA. At first glance, it is probably underpinned by the potential of the US market over the Australia /NZ markets, given the latter's maturity.

They may already have a stronger relationship with AA than QF.

I am pleased that the decision to go with AA seems commercially sound from a future growth and market perspective.
