FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

I upgraded from Platinum Visa to Prestige without a credit check. My credit limit way exceeded the minimum but took some convincing (as they still wanted me to make a fresh application) and some weeks in delayed call backs but got through in the end.
Can't remember how the annual fee worked - I think they just charged the difference on the first statement.
Best card in my portfolio. Which is saying something. I've had it for 4 years now. Usually have a new favorite every year.

Yeah. Said I just wanted to do a product transfer. I met the income requirement in any event just didn't want the unnecessary credit check.
About to try the same with Amex to switch from Platinum Reserve to Explorer. They've told me possible from next month. I know will miss the bonus points.

Ok thanks. So when you transferred to the prestige you need to have the minimum credit limit first? Also any forms to fill in?

Mine was done all over the phone. Was easy apart from having to convince them to let me do it. I think some other AFFers have done it recently and it's been simpler.

Was simple:
* called Citi and asked for product transfer;
* they said 'no' because that's what the script said;
* I didn't take 'no' for an answer and highlighted could do product transfers to other cards;
* they 'investigated' and let me do it after a couple of follow up calls.
Should be easier now. Call Citi and find out. I'm keen to hear how you go.

What is the minimum credit you need for Prestige ? There is no info on citi but i assume signatue min is $15,000 and $30,000 for Prestige maybe

I think my Prestige limit is $18k. But i got mine a few years ago now and haven't increased it either, so is probably higher now.

Has anyone who has retired or semi retired upgraded to the prestige card with out going through a credit check
investment been with Citi for over 20 years and my current spend limit is 30000 I'm on Signature fee free what's annual fee for the prestige card is it really worth the annual fee.
Thanks

Prestige $700 but from reading the thread ppl have been offer Free or Half $350 by calling up . I myself value the 2 x airport transfer at $100 , Free night hotel $200 and also stay 4 pay 3 nights hotel offer it depend how often you book in your hotel stay . More transfer partner compare to Signature is also a plus

does the double points show up at the same time of the 'base' points? or will take longer? how often does citi run this promo

Bonus points have shown up straight away for me. Offer runs until Jan 13. Check the rewards site to confirm.

Can someone give me some quick advice (I know the answer is probably somewhere on this thread but I can't find it!). I need to pay for a car I bought which is over my limit - if I overpay the account into credit, will I earn points on the whole amount?
