Hey JohnK,

Well done on making LTS. I know how hard you have slogged at it going Disc Y most of the way, so the reward is even more well worth it!

Enjoy! I'm halfway behind you!!!

Nick

Congratulations John

I made LTS about 5 years ago. Now only a couple of months to LTG.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys.

Congratulations to you as well Bill. Somehow I think you will win that race with all the money and time on your hands.
I'll go with the time part but not necessarily the money. Remember I have to pay for two on most occasions :!:

Congratulations John, a hard slog indeed!

I'm fortunate to have had the odd trip o/s in J, and not have to get SCs 10 at a time on most flights like yourself. I think around 3-4 more years at WP and I'll get to LTG.

Presumably then my paid QC membership (had one month to go when I hit SG) which I never had to renew would be quietly forgotten about:)

Congratulations Johnk. Fine effort.
I will make plain old silver this Saturday after 16 years as NB.

Would never have made silver without all the help from every one at AFF.

Thank you.

Congratulations, JohnK.

I'm about 80 per cent to LTS mark. I reckon another 24 months to achieve that level.

Congratulations John. :mrgreen::mrgreen:
When they introduced WP and other "enhancements" there was a pro-rata calc done for past travel, 1998 I think, this is my status:

Current lifetime Status credits: 9,481
"Tier Credits" were introduced in September 1998.

One could earn 8 for discount WHY for short distance flights (e.g. MEL-SYD), 15 for longer distance trips (MEL-BNE) etc. As a result one could have an 'odd' number of TC's.

There was no pro-rata conversions and no 'lifetime' credit given for eligible travel undertaken before then. (So my 200+ flights Oct 1994-Sep 1998 did not count toward any of my lifetime status :().

Later on there were further changes (2001?) where these were renamed "Status Credits" and could only be earned in multiples of 10. All accumulated LT TC's were "converted" to life time "SC's" at 1:1. For several years I had an "odd" lifetime count ending in 5. (Discount WHY travel between MEL and SYD or MEL and BNE would earn 10 SC's).

From May 2005 there were further changes with the number of bands/zone increasing and SC's earned for discount WHY travel between MEL and BNE increased to 15.

That makes a lot of sense, I had forgotten about the TC's being 8 for the shorter trips !

A nice milestone to hit there JohnK, well done.

I hit this mark about 8 months ago after 3 years of flying in Y. The next 7000 SC's hopefully will come a little faster with some YUP's along the way.

that's a lot "bis" Well done...now for the next 7000...
