Hey all,

Thought Id share this milestone with you all.. I achieved it over the weekend flying from ORD to NRT on AA153 in J.

2 Days before my annual assessment date.. Mrs wtolmie also has Gold for next year again as a result of that flight.

Guess I wait now to get my letter and card..

Have a look on my flight memory profile page for breakdown of flights etc. (if interested)

Congratulations!

now, if SWMBO has earned SG in her own right, you might not have to consider as much though as I did on where to credit my post WP annual flights.

You'll get a letter - seems the card only comes when you don't re-qualify WP ...

(I shudder every time I read the phrase "^ The program Awards and Benefits may change from time to time" in the About the program section of the website under Lifetime Recognition.)

Well done on achieving LTG!!! Mine is years away still!!

Thanks all..

mrswtolmie did not achieve Gold on her own..

im thinking time for a platinum challenge on my next flight to US.. Pity AA doesnt have code share on flights from Hong Kong to Sydney..

Im based in China and travel alot in the region and every other month to US..

So yeah there is options out there..

Well done.I'm never going to make it - but getting much closer to LT plat-on AA;)

Congrats! and happy travels for the future. :p
LT silver seems impossibly far for me let alone gold, one day......

Where to now :?:

Big congrats...

I wonder if I'll ever make those lofty heights.... Sorta don't want to, to be honest hehehe way too much flying...

Any unpublished benefits over WP for LTG?

Gumpy, no Lifetime achievement milestones after Gold :( which is a bit disappointing that QF, in all their "enhancements" to the program, have failed to address and there is now significant leakage (from our membership anyway) to other programs like AAdvantage or worse, over to *A carriers.

AAdv has Lifetime Gold at 1 million miles, Lifetime Platinum at 2MM and at every 1MM, bonuses (eVIP's) used for upgrades.

What does QF have by comparison???? Exactly nothing

Congratulations

I'm right behind you, I should achieve LTG by end of QF year - a true mark of status eh? Hahaha

Congratulations. I'll see you in the LTG club in about 8 years time.

Serfty is correct. You only get the card when you fall off WP. In my case that was after two years of comping to WP as I stopped flying once I retired. Mind you it is nice where instead of "Valid until end" it says LIFETIME MEMBER.

Congrats and welcome to the Club.
