You wouldn't believe it but on the last trip my sturdy luggage identification tag and QF silver status tags look like they have been chopped off clean on the luggage so I will definately need the new gold tags very soon.Yada Yada said:And the luggage tags! I reckon I know how that happens. Stand at the carousel in SYD T1, where the bags drop off the belt. The handlers always seem to load bags onto the belt with the top facing the direction of travel. Most people have their tags attached to the handle on the top, so when the bags crash down onto the carousel handle first, the tag ususally cops a complete hammering. I'm surprised mine has actually survived the last two trips.JohnK said:You wouldn't believe it but on the last trip my sturdy luggage identification tag and QF silver status tags look like they have been chopped off clean on the luggage so I will definately need the new gold tags very soon.Yada Yada said:And the luggage tags! Same thing happened to me on SIN-MEL in Jan. One SG tag was chopped clean in two, like a pair of scissors had been used (both pieces).JohnK said:You wouldn't believe it but on the last trip my sturdy luggage identification tag and QF silver status tags look like they have been chopped off clean on the luggage so I will definately need the new gold tags very soon.Yada Yada said:And the luggage tags! But this seems mysterious as there is no trace of the tags or the material that was binding them to the handle. My paper QF identifaction tag remained but it was soaked so I have no idea what went on there. I think the tags were cut off with scissors and will now be sold on eBay.Yada Yada said:I reckon I know how that happens. Stand at the carousel in SYD T1, where the bags drop off the belt. Yes, well if you use Sydney airport and have checked luggage, anything can happen.JohnK said:But this seems mysterious as there is no trace of the tags or the material that was binding them to the handle. Yada Yada said:I need 760 SC's to make WP before Nov 30th. I need to make two more trips to SIN later this year (=240 SC's) and a fair bit of domestic travel but can't really see me making it easily, and not sure if there is a point anyway. :?
Sorry, just my warped sense of humour after the Finnair experience from hell.Yada Yada said:Now there's the spirit! Go John!JohnK said:Road to platinum! 1130 SC's required by May 31st!!!!
If you are lucky then you may keep status for another year. I have also heard that if you pray daily and go to church at least once month then you are also likely to get to keep current status for another year.straitman said:With my flight patterns this year I'd be lucky to make wood or mud.
Lucky you only drop one tier per year.
