Talking to a couple of Poms on the bus. They realise local conditions and conditions meant a lot, but they are off to PJ O'Briens to drown their sorrows

Well I am glad that it has ended like it should - an Aussie win.

Apologies I didn't do more reporting after 5.15pm Saturday when on the BCC free bus to Chermsie - needed to preserve my remaining low battery life to getting connecting bus and letting wife know where I was - as it transpired, there were some buses that had to be diverted after reaching the Chermside Interchange (and other at Aspley Hypermarket) - seems that some people couldn't hold their liquor :o [not me ;)].

Yesterday was understandably "Daddy Day", so had to listen to it via earphones and ABC Radio. When it began raining at 8 wickets down late in the day, I thought that was it for the day. No, the weather god was Australian - cleared up, waited for the hail to melt and a super sopper run around, then play re-commenced.

Good that I don't have to interrupt todays' work with listening to it. Only disappointing thing is the sledging incident between Michael Clarke and Jimmy Anderson - I just don't see that as being part of a game that I support, call me a traditionalist. It was (and should always remain) a gentleman's game...my 2c worth
