OGI completed a 7 week service at AVV yesterday, ferried to Sydney then operated 759 to ADL.

Edit - Apparently this aircraft was not refurbished as per the below post!

Be interesting to get some feedback and pics of the new fit out and see if it is much better

Awesome... But I have the best luck at missing newly refurbed / special aircraft :(

I only got the iPad trial 767 twice - and the amount of flying I do on 767 routes I should have seen it a lot more!

Have about 10 767 flights coming up so fingers crossed.... Should we have a prize for first TR on her??

Have checked with a QF mate.OGI not refreshed, just normal mtce. First refreshed due out end of Oct

Thanks for the info! The wait goes on, any idea which aircraft it will be?

Are they doing them all?.

Have flights on 767 CNS/SYD/HNL March next.

All but a few (believed but not confirmed that the ZX birds will miss out).

I wonder if they will put some sort of hook or holder on the back of the seat in front for the ipads?

Much better to watch it at eye level then looking down at your lap imo....

They have a case with a built-in stand. Tray table works fine, but I understand what you mean, it's not quite on the lap though.

I've got a 767 flight in December, so depending how fast they do the refurbs, I hope I get to experience the new look.

Hi Markis

I believe that the 7 Ugly sisters (767- ACE's) are still on lease to QF from BA and the lease conditions precludes any upgrades to the aircraft - including the ACE Galley's, IFR etc.

Tech crew love them though as the RR makes them a much faster aircraft!!! :p

call me a cynic but im not sure pax will be too fussed about the cabin interior if they are stuck at the gate regularly while their ancient 767 that has gone tech gets serviced... :)

I concur - I swear ZXE has it in for me ...

Qantas brought the ZX a/c many years ago now. They are however quite old a/c, certainly older than most if not all of the remaining Qantas OG 767's so that may well be the reason for them not getting a refurb.

PS just saw a reply above where someone mentioned some are still leased, you will find that the 'lease' holders that don't appear to be Qantas specifically "G-BNWF/G AIRCRAFT PTY LIMITED" are actually the ANZ bank and they appear this way due to the manner in which the aircraft have been financed. So whilst on the books they are leased for all purposes however they are Qantas's and I can say 100% they are no longer owned by BA.

The ZX series have very high cycles, that along engine difference in contrast to the rest of the fleet means they are the ugly duckling when it comes to life extension, so likely to head to the paddock.

OGQ entered service on the 23rd with the new cabin refurb, they are being done at BNE .
