PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

Hi all could some one please check QF10 PER-MEL 22/02/2019 it seems strange that my free version of EF is showing all seats in economy from 46 back as being blocked.

On a positive I got my upgrade to Y+ on this flight and even happier to report that I have been issued a boarding class for 3F at the airport :)

Comes up on a general search:

QF 10 0 PER MEL 789 Daily
J0 C0 D0 I0 U0 W0 R0 T0 Z0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 X0 E0

Just spoke to front desk and it has definitely been blocked from row 46 back for operational reasons Guess that explains why my upgrade from Y+ Saw me end up in J :)

And here is the reason why as per my post in Qantas delays

There where two reasons for this the first being that the seats from row 46 back had been blocked due to the evacuation slides being inoperable so no passengers allowed. Second was due to having 2 dogs on board, that had come from London, in the cargo hold, they were having trouble maintaining temperature in the forward cargo hold so needed to transfer the dogs to a second cargo area however this then gave them an issue due to Quarantine that took some time to resolve.

The Captain did a great job of keeping us informed as to status and situation whilst the crew kept the Champagne flowing :)

Flying with my brother MEL -> SYD QF420 12 May. Both of us are Red QFF. Upgade with points. Both are red-e-deal tickets

What is the likelihood of one or both of us being upgraded?

Mike

Current load:
J8 C6 D5 I0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9N9 Q9 O8 G0 X9

But way too early to tell. I'd have my doubts about upgrades, but the loads on this route can change a lot on the day itself so you never know.

On the plus side
- it’s a Sunday morning (non-weekday peak travel)
- currently still fairly open
- short flight so many don’t spend the points upgrading

On the negative
- on Syd-Mel there’d typically be plenty of higher FF tiers than NB ahead in the queue
- it’s usually a 738 so less J seats to
sell/fill

Could someone kindly send through reward availability on:

8th March 2019: CX178
8th March 2019: KA782

Currently on Asia Miles waitlist for this which expires tomorrow.
First time redeeming flights on Asia Miles, not sure what to do if theres no update tomorrow.
Am I able to request the waitlist again? Or should I just pay for the tickets.

Apologises,

8th March 2019: CX178 - MEL -> HKG
8th March 2019: KA782 - HKG -> CAN

I'm Qantas Gold, but as I'm booking using Asia Miles points, not my Qantas points for this trip, not sure if my status comes into play when looking for reward seats

Thank you, i think that would indicate all business class tickets are sold out on CX178.
I'll change flights accordingly now.
