PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

Hi! I’m a QFF Bronze and requested an upgrade to business on 2nd May 2019 - SYD-LHR (QF1). Does anyone know the likelihood?

Here are the numbers but in reality it is way too far off for them to have any meaningfulness. Check back again about 3 days out from your flight to get a better sense of the likelihood.

QF 1 SYD 3:55p → LHR 6:25a

Hi everyone,
Could someone please kindly check the Business class upgrade availability on:
Qantas QF118 13th March 2019
Hong Kong to Sydney.
1 Passenger with Qantas Gold

Hoping the availability is still looking good but I guess will know by tonight as it approaches T-24hours

Thanks!

Any chance of checking the probability of an upgrade for:
- PER - LHR: 26th March (QF 9)
- Premium Economy booked, requesting business upgrade
- Gold FF

Thanks!

What do you think the chances of getting upgrade to J from W on QF3 SYD - HNL, Monday 1st April. 2 pax, 1 SG (will be WP after the trip) and other NB.
Hopefully we get the upgrade as it is for our honeymoon.

I'd say reasonable given PE and status.

I’m booked in Flex Y on QF9 MEL-LHR on 01/04/19 with an upgrade request to J in place with options selected for an upgrade to PE plus upgrade at the gate. I’m Gold and the upgrade was requested by a P1 family member. A few hours ago the loadings were J3 and 0 in PE. I think a few upgrades got processed as load now J1 and W1. I didn’t get an upgrade.

What would people say my chances are? And also are the upgrades at the airport processed manually or by a computer?

The seat map shows 4 J seats blocked & all the rest allocated, so that likely means QF have decided where the seats are going. I assume there is a manual process involved if QF are still willing to sell one seat in J. As for likelihood some other AFFers with Gold status have received the upgrade in the last 24hrs. Only time will tell.

I need to be in NYC on the 18th of June and return on the 25th. I’m looking to book into Y or PE from Adelaide and I currently hold Gold.

Few routing options. In the past Brisbane on the 747 was almost a certainty when it came to upgrades to Business.

LA Via Sydney on A380

LA Via Sydney on 787

LA Via Melbourne on A380

LA Via Melbourne on 787

LA Via Brisbane on 787

Which route is do I have the best chance of an upgrade to Business?

Interested in the loads on QF9 14 April MEL-PER. Hoping for 2x Y to Y+ upgrades.
