PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Plans slightly changed as Mrs HockeyMonkey had to travel for business as well and we are aligning our return flight.

How do the following currently look
QF93 MEL - LAX departing June 23
QF94 LAX - MEL departing July 11

The latter is Flex Y, so pretty full I expect but fingers crossed.

Appreciate your help.

QF 93 MEL 9:00a → LAX 6:25a
F4 A4 J9 C9 D9 I0 W2 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 G0

QF 94 LAX 10:40p → MEL 7:30a
F9 A9 J9 C9 D9 I0 W7 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K7 M0 L0 G0

Both look good at this time

Can I get some assistance with the following flight loads. Thanks in advance
QF15 - BNE - LAX 17 June
QF16 - LAX - BNE 23 June

QF 15 BNE 10:20a → LAX 6:00a
J9 C9 D9 I9 W4 R3 T0 Y3 B3 H3 K3 M2 L1 V1 G0

QF 16 LAX 11:20p → BNE 6:05a
J5 C5 D0 I0 W5 R4 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 G0

Going over looks good.

Look good on your return for now. I hope as WP on flex Y, you will have a very secured chance. if you redo your request, you will be befind other WPs on flex Y (not too important but probably not worth it IMO). Not selecting PE upgrade would not affect your chance of upgrade at the gate.
Hello
Can you help me check how is it looking on QF36 tonight? Still no SMS. Do I have a chance to get J upgrade?

QF 36 SIN 8:15p → MEL 5:35a
F3 A2 J1 C0 D0 I0 W9 R9 T9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L0 G0

Doesn’t look great but maybe some late j- f upgrades will free up some seats

could someone help me with the loading of QF1 from SYD to LHR on 21 June please. I am a QF WP on flex Y, hoping to move to J. TIA.

Hi everyone,
I would be grateful if the loads on QF 35 Mel-Sin on Wed 19 June could be checked. Chances of an upgrade from W to J? Pax is WP.
Cheers

QF 1 SYD 3:55p → LHR 6:25a
F0 A0 J8 C0 D0 I0 W6 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H0 K0 M0 L0 G0

Some hope. Good luck

it is now T32 for my flight. Dummy booking indicates that QF is still trying to sell 7J seats. In similar situations, I would get upgrade confirmation well before T48, some time as early as T62. Perhaps, the QFF revamp has already been started? Still waiting....

It doesn’t look good unfortunately

QF 1 SYD 3:55p → LHR 6:25a
F0 A0 P0 J1 C0 D0 I0 U0 W0 R0 T0 Z0 Y9 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 X0 E0

This is the loading to SIN

QF 1 SYD 3:55p → SIN 10:15p
F2 A0 P0 J9 C9 D9 I0 U0 W6 R0 T0 Z0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L5 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 X0 E0

And the loading SIN to LHR

QF 1 SIN 11:55p → LHR 6:25a
F0 A0 P0 J0 C0 D0 I0 U0 W0 R0 T0 Z0 Y6 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 X0 E0

It seems to be this leg that is causing the problem

QF 93 MEL 9:00a → LAX 6:25a
F4 A4 J9 C9 D9 I0 W2 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 G0

QF 94 LAX 10:40p → MEL 7:30a
F9 A9 J9 C9 D9 I0 W7 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K7 M0 L0 G0

Both look good at this time

Could someone please recheck QF93 MEL->LAX for me on Sunday June 23.

It is now T-48 but no upgrade has come through in W or J. Doing some dummy bookings on the QF website, there seems to be F2 J1 W0

could someone help with the loading of QF2 from LHR to SYD on 27 June please. PS: I did not get my upgrade on the 1st leg. pjm99au was exactly right. TIA.
