PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

thank you. I'm interpreting this as J seats are still available, but not sure what else to think about it. Fingers crossed
D9, I9 are generally regarded as good omens being discount buckets. And Y looks quite full if no fares in discount buckets.

Can someone please check the loads from SYD to SCL QF27 on 11/1/2020 and coming back on QF28 around 5/2/20 (I'm flexible for the return date). I'm thinking of asking if QF will release a couple of award J seats Thanks

Purchased 2x cash fares in Y on QF636 24.12.2019 - no status held by either pax
Have submitted for upgrade to J for 18k points per pax

Expert Flyer shows 0 "U" seats - so I assume we're out of luck?

U availability is only relevant for an instant domestic upgrade. Upgrades can still happen closer to the departure date and time if there is remaining business availability.

In your instance there are only 3 J seats currently available for sale on your flight so I would think your chances are unfortunately low

Could someone kindly help with the loading for QF117 SYD to HKG on 21 Jan 2020 again? I asked before and would like to see if availability has changed recently, especially J award. Thanks

Apologies missed that you were looking for award seats. There is J and F award availability on 127 if you can leave earlier in the day

Can anyone tell me if there is plenty of J seats available for Qf 568 to Sydney from Perth on Sunday night, thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to AFF.
There is a thread for such questions here.
A mod might move this thread into that one at some stage. (DONE)

However below is the info from expert flyer:
J4 C4 D0 I0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 E0
So basically 4 seats free. But there will be a lot of upgrade requests.
There are always about a dozen or even as many as 20 excess upgrade requests for the red eye / midnight horror.
If you are looking for an upgrade try QF566 (but only a 737) or QF582 (slim chance unless you have status).
Also it would be easier if you referred to the flight as from to not to from (ie PER-SYD).

Hi AFF.

Flying out of HKG to SYD on QF128 on the 29/12/19. Cash J fare, requested F upgrade. I had a look at BCD and it shows the following

F/A - 4
J/C/D/I - 9
U - 5

I have Bronze with QC. Just wanted to gauge peoples thoughts on my chances of F?

Thanks!
