PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Hi Team
Just wondering upgrade on QF645 Monday 12 Dec, How likely im getting it?

I am Gold QF at the moment

Thank you
Still looking reasonable at this point… though it’s a route with higher demand for upgrades, so it will depend on how many P1s & WPs are in the queue ahead of you!

Best of luck!

Cheers,

If you are referring to a RTW Oneworld Explorer, an economy fare books into L (business books into D; first into A). Hence LONEx, DONEx, AONEx where x = 3,4,5 or 6 continental zones.
Thanks JohnM you are right however as we were originally scheduled to fly SYD-SFO which was then involuntarily changed we were rebooked onto the SYD-LAX flight in M class. The LAX-SFO leg is booked in K. All the other legs are in L class. Just a shame I won't have much luck getting any upgrades on the AY sectors. Either way we can't wait for the trip as it's been on hold for two years.

Hi all, I’m P1 with CFR ticket MEL-SYD-MNL with the return MNL-SYD-MEL. All legs in Business Class except SYD-MNL on 13 December which the VIP team could only secure an economy seat. I’m registered for an upgrade but it’s now less than the 7 days indicated as when P1 upgrade requests are processed. However, my flight details still show “upgrade requested” so it hasn’t been rejected either. Can anyone provide info about loadings and interpret what it means for my chances of an upgrade? Thx

Still some availability showing (3 in business). Still some hope but you may need to wait a little longer

Hi all,

Looking to fly MEL-SIN on 8th, 9th or 10th of January (just in Y) and no availability is showing on any SQ flights. I understand a busy time of the year, but there are 4 flights per day, and every single seat is sold? Doesn't sound right. Any suggestions?

Out of luck. 1 seat left on 238 on the 10th. Otherwise completely full in Y in every flight across all three days.

There is some availability out of SYD on 232 on the 10th, but only a few seats in full Y, so expect to pay through the nose.

Can somebody please advise fare class loadings for EY450 on 10th December 2022?

Thanks!
EF gives an error, perhaps blocked this late.

For the future please provide From/To as a courtesy to save us looking up a flight number if it is not familiar.

Could some kind person provide loadings for the following please?

4/12 QF770 PER-MEL
5/12 QF69 MEL-DEL
10/12 QF70 DEL-MEL
11/12 QF9 MEL-PER

FYI. Upgrade on flights 1 and 3. Flight 4 has been downgraded from the 787 to A330 and move to two hours earlier. Anyone able to post the loadings on QF9 (bolded above) now?

Looking for the upgrade probability for a flight QF75 21/12/22 Syd to Yvr

Not sure what other info is required
Hi again - here's the loading... and amazingly, right now you could book a classic business seat award for this flight! There are at least 7 seats still for sale in J, with no less than 4 for sale in the cheapest fare bucket (I), and those 2 available in U are the award seats. Unfortunately, this still doesn't mean an upgrade is guaranteed, but signs are better than you would normally expect to see at this point, particularly during peak xmas travel time. Aside from Y, which is sold through but for the highest 2 fare buckets, it's fairly wide open.

Here's what the seat maps look like for me as a QFF Platinum:
