Many have had similar on QF with upgrades and no catering. Still get (limited) J service but on a short flight what is the difference?

Ah. I was on 543 and while I don't think everyone had paid for J. Everyone was offered J class service.

You need a minimum of 10 characters in a post otherwise it's too short!
