Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

My coupons unfortunately do not have a 4-coupon bonus. Probably because i use them all already!

I can confirm that purchase of a Coles $50 gift card (prepaid Mastercard) does actually cost $55 but this includes the activation fee. I hope the 2000 Flybuys arrive as expected.

I hope the sales staff are aware of the promo. For the Father's day promo I actually had to show the email to scan my Flybuy card.

I just got a Coles Express offer.

If I go to Coles Express with my flybuys card and a 4 cent voucher I can choose to either get 4 cents off per litre or get 8 flybuys points per litre. The offer had an activate button but it said I could choose each time I went to the petrol station as to whether I wanted to get points or discount. I'm not sure how this is going to work and whether there will be a prompt at the register asking me to choose. I am wondering whether the fact that I've activated the offer means that I've chosen the points rather than the discount.

The terms and conditions aren't very clear.

4 cents per litre and 8 points per litre work out as a conversion rate of 0.5cents per point based on conversion to flybuys dollars. If you are able to redeem flybuys points for a better ratio than 0.5cents per litre, you are probably better off choosing the points option.

Apologies it wasn't clearer. If you activate the offer, then until 31 December, each time you fill up and present a 4 cent voucher, you'll be asked whether you'd like 8 points per litre or the usual cash discount.

Thanks Flybuys - based on that explanation I have activated my offer as it gives you both options.

Same here no bonus coupons.

Thank you for clarifying this. I just hope the staff members have been trained to look out for this promotion.

The maths is interesting. 8 FlyBuys points per litre, which would be 3.5 Velocity Points per litre (if you got 2,000 of them and all that). Better than the 2 points per litre you might get elsewhere!

1) Is this offer targeted? I haven't received it.

2) Will it apply if payment is made using motorpass?

My 2,000 points arrived on the 20th (according to my FB statement) after purchasing the GC on the 19th.

The 4c or 8 points maybe interesting. I have a guaranteed 4c off with RAC(WA) which I normally use (if Coles Exp less the discount is the cheapest ). Wonder if I'll be prompted for the 8 points?

Happy wandering

Fred

I just received spend $50 a week for the next 3 weeks, receive 8,000 FB points. Seems generous, will add a reminder to my calender :-)

and if the points arrive before Nov 30, that's 4000 VFF points!

Very generous in comparison with my spend $120 pw get 8,000. Cleverly stacked so if you make a mistake (or forget in last week) it is very costly.

You get the 8,000 points in 1000, 2000 and finally 5000.

FB rep - why did Mother's Dat MC purchases push my weekly spend up from $60 to $320 yet they don't count for subsequent spend targets (if I bought some more that is)? Good way to push a customer over to the competition....

yup, stacked & targeted to someone who hasn't previously taken much advantage of FB!

You will have to spend more(as per AP) the more times you take the offer ;next time you may have to spend 90 to get the same points etc .
But you can use these times to stock up on non perishables .
You still have to be in control and not be dictated about how and when to spend .

Yup, exactly. I am an Aldi shopper generally, but coles & Woolies for a couple of specific things. Will be stocking up this month!
Coles is 20km from me, so they generally are deliberate shops, rather than impulse!

Received a similar offer but want a $160 spend.

I think in the future, I wont be scanning my FB card when buying GCs.
