Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Re: Fly Buys Targeted Bonus Promotions - 8 points offer at Coles Express

We're sorry - we provided incorrect information on Friday regarding the option to choose 8 points per litre instead of 4 cents per litre with a fuel voucher at Coles Express. The offer is in fact global, that is, it's available to all flybuys members until 31 December. Apologies for any confusion.

Re: Fly Buys Targeted Bonus Promotions - 8 points offer at Coles Express

Got the voucher book in the mail. Alternates between spend $50 for $5 off and triple points. Discount stacked nicely with our four week spend $60 offer and a triple points docket I had.

Thank you for clarifying this.

I am curious as to why flybuys sends these general offers (available to all members) and puts an activate button in the email. This "activate now button" infers that they are targeted offers. This has happened twice recently, once with the 2000 points gift card offer in the current catalogue and once with the petrol options discussed above.

They sound like great coupons. Flybuys doesn't send out as many $ off coupons as they used to so this is a good sign for you.

Remember that to qualify for the 4 week promotion the final transaction total after your discount has to be over $60. The $ off coupons are great but they make stacking offers a bit tricky. Have fun.

Thanks for your feedback; it's a fair question. In the few instances such as this, while activation isn't mandatory, it informs us of the level of engagement in the offer, which helps us in planning future promotions.

I activate all offers, regardless of whether I intend to use them (just in case...)

I think in the future, I wont be scanning my FB card when buying GCs.

Problem is the offer was scan your FB card and get 1,000 FB points per prepaid Coles MC. The 1,000 points offset the $5 activation fee and allowed use of AMEX at plces that would not accept it or added a surcharge.

Offer not worthwhile without gaining the FB points...

I think that the suggestion was for purchasing normal gift card. Not those associated with bonus point offerings.

You still seem to get the standard 1 FB/$ on giftcards in Coles. Would be up to individual to forgo these in the hope of cheaper spend targets

(I dont scan my WW card for GCs as you dont get anything extra there for doing so)

Just received:

'Hi DrRalph,
Invited to any birthdays or housewarmings this spring? Maybe you’re thinking of doing some early Christmas shopping. Why not get them a Coles Gift MasterCard?

You’ll give them the freedom to shop everywhere MasterCard is accepted – that’s more than 38 million locations worldwide.

And it’s great timing, because if you purchase a $100 Coles Gift MasterCard, you’ll collect 1,000 BONUS POINTS or 500 BONUS POINTS with a $50 gift card.* A card purchase fee of $5 applies.

Only available in-store at Coles Supermarkets.

Hurry! Offer ends 8 November.'

Great timing as I just ran out of the Fathers day offerings.

Note also:

'The offer can be redeemed multiple times during the campaign period.'

Oh cough targeted ?

Looks like it:

'*BONUS POINTS offer only available to flybuys members who receive this email, activate the offer and then purchase a $50 and/or $100 Coles Gift MasterCard (“Qualifying Card”) in store from a Coles Supermarket between Tue 25 Oct and Tue 8 Nov 2016.'

If only there were SCs on giftcards
In any case the hunt is on :)

Was at my local Coles yesterday and saw this offer displayed on the gift card shelf:
Purchase selected gift cards ($50 or $100) and get 2000 bonus fly buys points. Quite a list they have there for the bonus points. The one that stood out was Coles Myer gift cards.
Don't seem to be targeted.

When it was father's day, I bought all GF mostly from this area: liverpool, hurstville, fairfield, merrylands, sylvania ( south and southwest all gone ), if you are around this area within radius 10kms coles, little chance to find $100

I recommend better chance to find at North area now.

I live at moorebank area. My next target to find is Campbelltown area within radius 10-20kms.

I believe above offer valid for once only.

Windsor was fertile ground when I visited toward the end of the last promo
