OTOH make sure you rotate the UHT inventory. The expiry date is somewhat optimistic but we have "lost a few"

Not that I am a 'frequent flyer' with calling companies about product failures BUT,
In the 34+ years of UHT milk purchases/use averaging 8-10 litres a week - never had one failure for any of the various brands that have come & gone or are still around. Not a failure due to contents but many failures due to plastic tab coming away from tin foil though.
Is the problem due to where you or the retailer stores them?
I traced an issue for a friend to the fact that for a short time, each afternoon, the sun shone directly onto their storage area for their cat's tins (pre-opening). Only caused problems in spring/summer - but 90x cooked cat food is not a tin to open willingly!
