Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

12/14/16c for $50/60/70 spend.

I'd love that one with the $50 target. I was hoping to get that on my account or my partner's account. I would have used it. I didn't take up my partner's offer and used my card for a small purchase which just got me the general promotion 8 cent voucher.

We got triple points offers on both accounts this weekend for Coles. It's better than nothing but little incentive to stock up big. I'll probably use my card again in the hope that they will lower the qualification rate for my partner's targeted fuel and other bonus offers.

I'll take the triple points.

Think I got $80 back in flybys $ last year. Certainly a much better return than the $25 I would get back at some point in the 3rd year.
Getting back more than a usual weeks grocery shopping in a year, so can't complain about that.

Was disappointed they didn't have some good value docket vouchers over Christmas like they did last year.

The weekend offers are usually a multiple point offer or a variation of another type of offer such as fuel offers and spend X for 500 bonus points etc. If one person gets a fuel voucher offer then every other chosen member also gets a fuel offer and so on. I suspect there were less fuel offers around last weekend but I can't be sure.

The variation in targeted offers seems to come in the one off type offers. These arrive on other days of the week and may last for more than one week. I've had a couple of these from Target for buying specific product groups or general spends for a specific dollar amount. I've also had random email offers from Coles for toothpaste, specific down down products and a few other products. I haven't had any of these for a while but I'm guessing they aren't going to do these product specific promotions during the holiday period.

Yep, opened and activated, no welcome email which I was surprised about...

I look forward to hearing your adventures. I find the best use of FB points is to trade in 1000 points and add 10c on to petrol discount. Today we did a 150 litre* fill with a 16c voucher. And bought something in the shop for another 2c off.
The best is to wait for a "special" fuel discount and then add 10c to it. I have got to 26c and 28c vouchers that way

*actually we did a 214 litre fill over 4 cars. Blew the attendant's mind. Said he couldn't do the discount on that. Only on fills of 150l and under. Luckily I knew from here and elsewhere that if purchasing over 150l then only the first 150l count, but it can still be done. He had to ring his boss and it was eventually done. Lucky no one else was waiting

as an interesting aside the operators have twice been confused with large (over 20c) discount vouchers. Have had to break the discounts into 10c +xc. I am unsure if it's a system fault or operator failure

And Shintaro, I know I said I'd be in touch about a drink. Sorry about the delay. Will get to it

Yep, opened and activated, no welcome email which I was surprised about...

When I joined flybuys a couple of years ago I got a welcome email within a day with lots of new member offers available for the first month. When my partner joined last year he didn't get any welcome email or offers. He got some advertising about a week later and then about a month into the membership he got the first targeted offer. We started the purchases very low on this account so it probably took some time before flybuys had enough demographic material to send suitable offers. I guess the timing of targeted offers for new members will vary from member to member.

I have arrived Jessica... ;)

All, Please go easy on me.... Not an EDR fanboi but happy to learn from the "dark side" and put it up the other team...!

ONE OF US, ONE US....

If you don't have a CC that earns FB points, earning points can take a while. Look out for bonus points at Liquorland, 1st Choice and Coles and other places.

Since Flybuys got rid of direct flight redemptions with QF and VH, good redemptions are hard to calculate. Don't get me started on webjet redemptions.

My partner got a targeted offer for 750 points if we spend $20 on fresh Australian lamb products. The offer runs until 26/1/13 and the email also included details of a competition. The only thing I can't figure out is if the offer is a multiple use promotion. If anyone else gets the offer can you read the terms and conditions and let me know what you think. Most flybuys offers usually say one way or another whether you can use them multiple times. It's possible I missed something when I read the fineprint.

Tiered fuel offer. Targeted. Up to 18c per litre off with $120 spend. Should manage that. I have a 10c kicker in the system. Takes it to 28c. Buy something in the servo shop:30c off. Now to time it all with a down in the fuel cycle and a few empty tanks. 150 litres at 30c per litre off: priceless.
Plus the shop will be with discounted gift cards (yeah, yeah I get the argument about paying with Amex instead) and the petrol will get cc and fb points.
Gotta love these games

We both got tiered fuel offers.
Me,$60 for 12 cents per litre, $70 for 14 cents and $80 for 16 cents.
Partner $70 for 12 cents per litre, $80 for 14 cents and $90 for 16 cents
We will probably use my card and spend $60 or $70 depending on what stock we need. We've only been spending small amounts the last two weekends so I have been building up a list of other items to get when a good offer comes along.

I think I'll wait until next weekend to take up the lamb offer unless I see some really good lamb specials instore.

Buy something in the servo shop:30c off.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but my local Coles Express (Marsfield on Epping Rd) has a sign on the counter advising that you will no longer be eligible for the additional $2 spend instore 2c off deal if you are using a discount fuel voucher effective 1 Feb 2013.

I received a Target offer for 500 bonus points if I spent $40 in one transaction on back to school supplies. There was a wide variety of products listed including sunscreen. I've already done my back to school shopping so I won't be using the offer. I had to do it across several transactions at two different Targets and a few other shops due to availability issues. I picked up about 80 bonus points using some general offers on various products.

ours this week is 14/16/18c off for $130+/140+/ 150+ ... all the family are together this weekend so well manage the 18c once, maybe twice..

Okay everyone, it's coupon season again.

My partner and I each received a set of coupons. Ten weekly coupons were for Coles and the others are scattered accross the other partners.

My weekly coupons are a combination of spend $60 to get $5 off and double points on the alternate week. The week 9 coupon which covers the lead up to Easter says spend $80 to get $10 off.

My partner's coupons are a combination of spend $70 to get $5 off and double points on the alternate week. The week 9 coupon says spend $90 to get $10 off.

The interesting thing is that the first coupon is valid from now until Sunday February 3 so it covers two weekend periods. This means I could use both the spend $60 and the spend $70 coupons. My aim is to use mostly my coupons for the $5 off except for one week where we have a big party and I will probably use both $5 off coupons for that week. I'll probably use most of the double points coupons but try to spend as little as possible on these weeks. I'm rather confused at the double points offers as our accounts are usually offered triple points, but it's better than no offer at all.

The other partner coupons won't be used apart from a triple points on fruit and vegetables on my partner's account. The other coupons had good offers but they were for products and services we don't use.

I apologise if I have misused the word alternate in the above coupon description. Perhaps I should have used alternative. Perhaps I should have used a completely different word altogether.
