Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I got the same yesterday: 200 points for $10+ on fresh meat/seafood, and 100 points for $5+ on bakery products.

I have great difficulty reconciling my flybuys bonus points. I work very hard and I'm organised but even then it takes me awhile to figure things out. Last week several bonus point offers got lumped together in one transaction and I had to do a few calculations to confirm which ones had been credited. Some points got credited out of order which made it even more confusing.

I have a few problems with the way they post:
1) The use of Notional Outlets without any detail of what the bonus points were for.
2) Some points take 4-6 weeks to post, but then they post with the original transaction date, so they may be a few pages back in the transactions. I had 3,000 points post today, but I had to go back through several pages to find the individual transactions.

I think the previous system was slightly better, however the new system of lumping all CC points into one transaction is confusing when you try to line them with your CC purchases.

I can usually pick which bonus points will show up next to the original transaction and which will post as the newest transaction, although I've had to do a bit of searching occasionally. Manual bonus points where I've called the customer service center seem to post in a different way as well. I don't like having to go back a couple of pages but I have done it many times. I have sent feedback to flybuys asking for a better system but they haven't made any changes. I find that bonus points from Target and Kmart turn up next to the original purchase. The Coles ones usually turn up as a new transaction but with no reference to what original transaction they are from.

There were bonus points posted to both our flybuys accounts today. By my calculations they were from the week 2 and week 4 coupons. The week 2 points posted late and the week 4 points posted early. I hope this helps others reconcile their points. Due to all the overlaping promotions, bonus points appear to be posting out of order. I'm still trying to reconcile whether all the eftpos promotion points have posted and I've got a docket deal and some other coupons which I think I'm still waiting on. Good luck to everyone else trying to reconcile their flybuys bonus points.

Received triple points offers on both accounts. That will add the icing on the cake to the week 7 $10 off coupon(partner's account) and the bakery and meat offers on both accounts.

It's a very good offer but fine print states " no triple points on individual bonus points offers" unfortunately

I don't expect them to triple the 100 on bakery or 200 on meat but it's nice to pick up triple points on everything knowing that I'll also get the points from the other offers.

Agreed, but wouldn't it have been extra nice to triple up the bonus points!

Yes it would be nice to triple up the bonus points, but I'm just happy to be able to take up four separate offers in one of my transactions this weekend. I'll be taking up four offers (three email and one coupon) on my partner's account and three email offers on my account on the second transaction.

I got $68.79 of groceries accross two transactions($50.33 + $18.46) yesterday at Coles and if I've done everything correctly then I'll end up with 774 points. I paid effectively $38.79 for the groceries. I used a $10 off week 7 flybuys coupon on the large transaction as well as $20 in Flybuys dollars (earned on week 2 and week 4 of the current coupon promotion).

The trickiest part was spending enough in the bakery and meat section in the large transaction to qualify for the email offers received earlier in the week. The weekly flybuys coupon has some interesting side effects. The bakery and meat promotions had a note to say that the qualifying amount must be spent in the right section after all savings and discounts have been taken into consideration. The coupon, I believe, acts as a discount and the system takes a certain percentage off all the products in the transaction. My best calculation was that it would reduce all the meat and bakery products by 20% and I factored in a little bit on top of this. This was based on the advice I got from flybuys when I questioned them about the Tell coles voucher interaction with the my5 discount (see the thread on Tell Coles surveys). I only remembered this when I was doing the second draft of my shopping list. I didn't have to buy anything I wasn't going to buy anyway, although it did mean that I had to freeze one of the bakery items. The meat items I wanted fitted in well with the spending pattern so I was very lucky.

Got more of those "Christmas" offer emails from flybuys tonight. The meat/seafood offer was there again plus a new one of triple points on fruit and vegetables. I don't know whether I'll use them, but at the moment I can't even activate them. Is anyone else having trouble with the flybuys site tonight?

EDIT: I managed to activate all the offers.

Targeted offers came later than usual today. Our offers came around 8pm tonight. I remember when flybuys offers arrived late afternoon and then a couple of months ago they started arriving on Thursday morning. I wonder why they've changed. The good news is that we both still got fuel offers. I was beginning to wonder if our luck with targeted offers had run out.

My offer, spend $60 for 12 cents per litre, $70 for 14 cents and $80 for $16 cents.
Partner's offer, spend $70 for 12 cents per litre, $80 fpr 14 cents and $90 for 16 cents.

We'll be spending $50 on my partner's account in order to use the Week 8 coupon. If I can figure out a way of getting $60 of christmas presents at Coles then I'll probably take up the 12 cent offer on my account as well. I'm not sure that it's worth it though. The standard voucher at Coles is 8 cents at the moment and an extra 4 cents a litre doesn't make much difference for our tanks.

I got a another ridiculous fuel offer! Lets just say $260 for 18c will NEVER EVER BE ACTIVATED AND NEVER BE ATTEMPTED!

Just when I thought Flybuys were getting predictable, they changed their pattern. I thought this weekend would be either a 3x or 5x points offer. We just received some fuel voucher offers. It's quite unusual to receive fuel voucher offers from flybuys two weeks in a row but I'm guessing they're copying everyday rewards or just doing something different before Christmas.

The offers are the same as last weeks. I didn't take up last weeks fuel offers, only the weekly coupon offer on my partner's account. This week we have a coupon for getting $15 off once we take the grocery total up to $80. I then have to decide whether to spend an extra $5 on groceries to get the minimum fuel voucher. If I need that much in groceries then I'll consider doing that. Hopefully they will see this Christmas shopping trip as a one off expense and not the start of a pattern. I don't want targeted offers coming in at a starting point of
$80. I probably won't use my partner's card for a few weeks and will hopefully get good offers on my card in the meantime.

We also got triple points offers on Target purchases which last from Friday to Monday. This timeframe is unusual for weekend offers but we are at an unusual time. I might get some last minute Christmas and birthday presents.

EDIT: Can everyone check their points balance if they get a targeted offer? The points balance on the emails is usually a day old. The figures sent on our emails were a week old. Have flybuys sent out the wrong emails this week? The dates were correct for this weekend but something just doesn't seem right.
