wow! Ours was 500 for $120 spend in one transaction

I only have to spend $60 at Coles for 500 bonus points this weekend - I don't need anything though :(

Flybuys "rewards" and offers can be really strange and unfair at times. A 1000 point reward for spending $240 sounds ridiculous. To me this translates as a $5.00 bonus. Percentage wise I think that only works out as 0.2% of the transaction value. My partner's rewards at the moment are $10 back for getting the transaction total to $50. I calculate that as a 20% reward. Flybuys don't seem to be able to give decent incentives to their large transaction customers, which is a pity. An across the board 10% reward would seem fair, or something similar. Please feel free to check my mathematics. It's late at night and I could be wrong but even if my figures aren't exact, at least the basic argument still makes sense to me.

A 1000 point reward for spending $240 sounds ridiculous.

Not even for a xmas spend has anybody in my family ever spent that much at Coles let alone WW or a independent Supermarket!

My own impression is they EDR/Flybuys screw over the weekly shoppers the most!

I thought $240 sounded like an unusual figure for your targeted offers. Maybe something has gone wrong with the targeting algorithm program this week. My target for $80 sounded low for me (although understandable given my decreased spending pattern recently). The upper limit for my targeting is $140. I have actually spent this much before but not very often. I can understand them going this high for me but higher wouldn't make sense.

My offer was 500 points for $50 spend. Don't shop at Coles often, and usually spend around $10 or so which seems to keep the spend low.

I was having a look at the extra coupons sent with the October statement. I am going to discuss the coles product specific coupons, not the ones with week 1,2 etc. I found a notation on some of the Coles coupons, "Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer". I'm wondering exactly what this means. Does it mean that you can only use one coupon per transaction? Can the coupon be used in the same transaction as a targeted email offer? Is it up to the checkout operator to decide which coupons can be used in a transaction or is there a computer system rule which will determine which points offers will be credited?

I don't know the answers to these questions although I am hoping to get some sort of clarification from Flybuys at some point. My extra coupons are for meat, bakery, deli, fruit and vegetables. My ideal way of using these offers is to do one weekly transaction using the weekly coupon and the extra coupon or coupons in the same transaction. This means I don't have to make an extra transaction for the week just to get the points from the extra coupon. Has anyone used these extra coupons yet at the same time as the weekly coupons? For example, one coupon I have is for 100 points for $10 of bakery products. Idealy I'd want to include that $10 of bakery in with my $50 required spend for the weekly coupon. In this way I only have to spend $50 to get two offers rather than $60 in two transactions.

I just want to make sure everyone knows about this condition which is on some of the coupons. It's not on all of the coupons so it is worth checking carefully.

If it was up to the checkout operator to decide the rules then this would work, although I would have to change which coles I shop at in order for it to work for me. I'm wondering if there are programs in the flybuys computer which woud see the two coupons presented in the one transaction and then ignore one of the coupons/points offers.

Flybuys clarified I could use these product specific coupons in conjunction with an email offer but didn't answer whether I could use two coupons in the one transaction and get all the bonus points. If anyone gets and answer to the two coupon question either by email or from the call center please let me know.

Use self checkout and all is fine ;)

I used a coupon at the self checkout some weeks ago without issue (and kept the coupon) but I used one of the card only self checkouts this week and using a coupon immediately required staff approval with a direction for the staff member to place the coupon in a slot in the machine. Not sure if this is just for the card only machines or not or how this relates to being able to use more than one coupon in a transaction (it may be up to the self service supervisor to allow it)

My partner and I both got triple points email offers for Friday and the weekend. We got $70 worth of groceries from Coles for $60 (using the $10 off coupon) and made three transactions. We used two other coupons and got cash out on two of the transactions. If all of the base and bonus points credit correctly we have earned just under 500 points combined from the purchases.

is the cash out thing still going?

I think this weekend is the end of the offer.

LOL

I hadn't made my quota on this and was relying on your post that said this:

"There's an unusual offer in this weeks coles catalogue starting 17/10/12. I don't think it's very good value but it might be useful for small purchases. I am assuming this promotion is for coles only.

The offer is on page 21 and offers 50 bonus points for using EFTPOS (sav or chq) and getting cash out. (and scanning the flybuys card of course). The offer runs from 17/10 to6/11/12. You can only get a maximum of 2000 points. I assume this is per account but it doesn't actually say this. If there was only 2000 points between everyone then they would be gone in a day."

I'll have to check the dates

I just reread that post from the other thread. For some reason I had the 11/11/12 written on my calendar as the end date. I've either put the wrong date on the thread or my calendar. I've since thrown away the original catalogue so I can't check it. At my Coles there are signs on the eftpos machines about the offer and I thought I saw them still there on Friday. The signs actually have the dates of the promotion in very small print. Good luck. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks!! No worries

I'll check and may be able to get a few more 50 points then

Have a good weekend :)

Just got a couple of high value petrol voucher offers from Flybuys. I was guessing this weekend would be fuel voucher weekend but the offers came in a bit later than I expected.

My partner got an offer for 12 cents per litre for $60 spend, 14 cents for $70 and 16 cents for $80. We have a coupon this week for 2000 points on a $50 spend so I'll probably increase the spend by $10 to get the 12 cent per litre voucher.

Flybuys have realised that I'm not spending much on my account at the moment and have lowered the qualifying spend for my fuel voucher offer. The offer starts at 12 cents per litre for $70 spend, 14 cents for $80 and 16 cents for $90. This is much better than having to spend over $100 just to get the lowest fuel voucher on offer. Hopefully by the time the current coupons run out I'll be getting really good fuel voucher offers from Flybuys and I can take them up.

I haven't been to a coles in about a month and they offer me this cough!
