Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Same points offered to me, but only have to spend $30 each of those week.
Same here. Shows how little ive been using my flybuys card at coles in recent months. I probably won't even take up this offer unless I receive another offer to stack with it in the first week.

Any predictions on when there’s likely to be a bonus transfer of points to velocity?
Don't think there's been one at all since the increased the rate to 2:1 to align with Woolies:QFF. I got an invitation to turn on Auto Transfer for 1,000 extra Velocity+1,000 extra Flybuys, so I went for it (having recently sent 100,000 over, I thought I may as well clear out the rest.

The 1,000 extra Velocity posted with the auto transfer, the Flybuys points haven't yet, but apparently I have to stay linked until at least 31/1, so I assume they will after then. That offer ends at midnight tonight, for anyone who received it.

As for spends at Coles, just got a 6k point bonus, $30 per week for 3 weeks, 1,000+2,000+3,000 bonus points. I usually shop at Woolies anyway as I'm more QF focused, so prob won't be bothering with it.

Re the 3 weeks offers, I had 5 on 6 accounts.
- 1 had $120 spend
- 1 had $50 spend
- 3 had $30 spend as @Dr Ralph had.

Therefore 3 weeks of $90 spend split 3 ways for this household. 33% return is pretty good.

A few days ago Flybuys sent me a summary of my 2021 points year.

I'm not sure if the program has as much penetration as the opposition. The reason being, that I am in the top 4% of points earners in both the ACT and Australia. Most of my points are bonus points (100K plus), mainly from Coles although sometimes I don't have any bonus offers for a couple of weeks. I only have one card.
Given all family members insisted in having their own unlinked individual accounts - our family received Annual rankings of being placed between 13th percentile & 18th percentile. Our cats feel very left out.

Latest offers after finishing some $50/10K offers a couple of weeks back have been intent on pushing us up to anything between $60, $70 & $90 weekly spends.

Not going to happen.

Can only dream of $30 spend offers....

I can assure you my dogs think they're stools don't stink (they do) after receiving their rankings. Fortunately their age is in "dog" years for qualification which is fair enough.

I've got an offer for bonis 500 Fluybuys + 500 Velocity if I turn on auto transfer and transfer min of 1000 points over. Anyone know the best way to game this for max benefit with minimal inconvenience/hassle?

Offer expires Tues 25 Jan. Don't really want Auto-transfer on all the time, so how long is long enough to get the points before cancelling again? Weird thing is the offer banner and text says 500 FB + 500 VFF, but then the T&C small print says 1000 FB + 1000 VFF ???

Current FB balance is 4,333 and have to do something before Australia Day if taking it up. T&C's say Auto transfer has to remain on until end of Jan to get points.

Good deal?

@Legoman when I did this a while ago for a similar promotion it transferred ALL my points to Velocity. It was in the T&Cs, which I didn't read.

Even if this still happens, which wouldn't be a dealbreaker for you given your FB balance is so small, its a few easy points for you IMO. It's easy to do and just change back after the end of Jan. Screens shot the higher points offer in the T&Cs if they nickel & dime you for the lesser amount.

Thanks, yeah think I'll do it since I have plans for a flight to BCN in Sep, so may as well get all the points I can. Agree on the trivial FB points balance, so not a lot to lose. The T&C's are a bit ambiguous. They seem to be suggesting that if this will be the first time you've EVER turned on auto-transfer, then you'll get 1000/1000 bonus points, but if you've previously used this offer and subsequently turned auto-transfer off again, then you only get the 500/500 bonus this time.

Seriously, is FlyBuys the very worst website you have to deal with in internet history? Here's how it goes for me using all the latest Chrome browser…
Got to website
Sign-In button appears momentarily, then disappears again immediately
Click the menu button to get Sign-In back
Chrome automatically populates data - good
Click Sign-In
Website stalls completely and does nothing
Turn off adblocker and reload
Website loads 2-factor screen to enter phone SMS-code - really? This is not a bank FFS. I'm not trying to break into Fort Knox here. This is a bloody grocery shopping loyalty point scheme worth virtually nothing
Enter stupid code sent to phone
Finally logged in
Look for information to find which Velocity account is linked. Can't find it anywhere. Doesn't exist.
Call Flybuys to ask and wait on phone for an hour to be answered
CSR tells me yep, that info isn't on website anywhere and can only be ascertained by calling them.
De-linking can also only be done by calling because the links on website are all broken to Velocity and don't work anymore
Same for linking, broken links to Velocity. Cannot log-in to Velocity from Flybuys as directed to.

This has to be the most broken and coughtastic website ever conceived. They should just scrap entirely the current version and revert back to the old school one they had before without any of the awful animation cough all over it, but no doubt their web designers are teenagers who think image trumps substance every time, so we end up with websites that look great but don't work. Form follows function is so last century. YOLO dudes. Rock on!

The best part of it all is it took so long to resolve all this cough, the offer for 500 bonus points for turning on auto-transfer expired before I could use it. I did actually turn it on, but then FlyBuys helpfully disabled it again without telling me through all the velocity account shenanigans. Can't be coughd now. If they wanna make this cough this hard to do, then it's not worth the pain and suffering.

Agree with Legoman's observations with FB's website, I rarely use it now, and just use the app on a phone (I don't like using phones) as it's so unpredictable whether it will work or not and the constant 2FA.

Anyhow 4 accounts have received some great First Choice Liquor options. This was spend $50 for one, $60 for another and $80 for the other two on two consecutive weeks to receive 8000 points - 1st week is actually 10 days as valid to next Sunday.

I've noticed that there are a few good offers in a few of the accounts, such as 1500 FB points for James Squire 150 lashes and 1350 for Asahi Super Dry. I think I'll combine the offer with those, and time it with a hopefully 2000 FB points for $50 spend which regularly comes and a Cashrewards/Shopback offer and to make a thrifty purchase. Could be 2022 grog covered.......although if WFH continues then perhaps 2022 H1 only. :)

Dude. TUN blue @ Dan Murphy's @ $28/30 cans. Buy with 5% off DM giftcard = $26.60/30 cans. Take back the aluminium cans for a further $3 back (10c x 30 cans) = $23.60 for 30 cans (only 330ml - airline size beer), but what the hell?

$23.60 for 30 cans of beer these days has got to be unbeatable anywhere. Not even ALDI comes close to that. Sure, TUN blue is not gonna set anybody's trousers on fire, but it looks like beer, it smells like beer, it froths up like beer and if you close your eyes, it even passably tastes like beer.

I'm doing this rather than pay Joshy his ridiculous twice yearly alcohol indexed taxation.

Collect 8,000 bonus points or $40 off your shop
when you spend $50 or more in 1 transaction in-store or online each week for 2 weeks at First Choice Liquor Market!

I think I can manage that

Gee that's an 80% return, never seen this high offer.

I've ceased receiving the $50 for 2k, they now want $100 spend for the 2k.
BWS continue with ordinary offers, no thanks, not willing to tap Aldi so may aswell do FebFast.
