Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Hey all - I'm looking at getting a credit card purely for rewards - pay off before the interest is due, and use for everyday shopping etc. Anyone got any opinins/advice on what card/where from? ........ Sorry, not sure if I should have started a new thread for this?? Sorry for being such a painful newby :(
There is a whole AFF section on credit cards. Have a look in 'Discussion Board' and scroll down. There are sections on bank specific cards as well as general discussion. It should keep you busy for days! :)

My vouchers arrived today.Spend $70 for 500 bonus points alternating with triple points.
Will be a big shop at the end of this week plus a couple of product bonus vouchers + a double points docket deal should give a reasonable haul of points.

Haven't received any vouchers yet:(

My vouchers came in last week. I'll have to take a proper look but I think there were some 500 point bonuses to be had.

Are you looking for rewards/points directly from the provider, QFF points or Flybuys points? I keep getting emails from Flybuys for the Coles Mastercard which have offered me 10,000 flybuys points as a sign up bonus. You'll need to figure out which credit card works best for you based on the annual fee versus the rewards offered. You've got the right idea above about paying the card off before you get charged interest.

I got my vouchers today - get 750 points when you spend $50 alternating with double points. I am getting fed up with all the physical voucher stuff of FlyBuys. I often forget the vouchers or find I have last week's in my wallet or even fill up at Shell and realise I have left the 4c docket at home. Just when are FlyBuys planning to join the 21st century and put everything on the card?

I've just gotten a flybuys offer where I can almost get the product for free using the deal, but I have to wait until the bonus points hit my account before it becomes worthwhile.

My offer is buy 2 cans of Heinz Baked Beans, 420g and receive 350 points. The cans are on special at Coles this week at $1 per can. This means I'd be paying $2 for the purchase and eventually receiving $1.75 worth of points which I'll be redeeming for flybuys dollars. I don't buy baked beans very often and when I do I buy the Coles Smart Buy products as they are cheapest brand. I think I'll take up the offer and buy the Heinz brand and keep them until I need them. It is a one use offer. If I was going to be redeeming a "double value" reward where the points are worth 1cent I'd actually make money out of the deal.

I also got triple points offers for Coles and Coles Express(non fuel) and I'll be taking up a couple of coupon offers as well this weekend at Coles. I'll only be spending $30 but I might end up with over 500 points just for that small shop once all the offers are added up.

Nice office there, rainbowgirl.

I also received the Triple Points at Coles Express (excludes fuel) and Coles. I also got a spend $15 on any products in the freezer aisle for 175 points.
I have a double points docket deal that I will also use this week. I have a Coles Gift Card to use and I currently no offers from EDR so shopping at Coles this week.

My spend today was $97 - but got it for $92 with $5 off
Coupon (week 1) spend $90, get $5 off
Online offer - $5 cooking oil for 75 pts
Online offer - Vanish product for 300 pts
Coupon - $5 milk - 75 pts
Coupon - Double points
SPEND $92 - 634 pts
Not my biggest haul but better than nothing! ;)

Thats crazy - 350 pts for $2 worth of products, then they want you to spend $15 on something else for a measley 75 pts??? I don't really get that!

I earned over 1000 points for my $30 shop at Coles today. The baked beans offer(350) mentioned above and the Tell Coles survey(500) made up most of it but I also had the triple points email, a double points docket deal, an email deal on Coles cream and a couple of coupons. The transaction was mostly fresh food and every item counted towards at least two points offers.

I received this offer today

I haven't received any flybuys emails but after reading the above posts I logged into my account and found my offer.

$100 off for spending $50 in one transaction each week for the next 4 weeks.

Very interesting vouchers just arrived in the mail ... since we've been focused on Woolies with their offers and not spending much at Coles, we've been watching the weekly Coles gate / target required drop off. We've also moved our fuel spend to Caltex.

The vouchers are ... 500 points for just buying something & then triple points for buying something.
No minimum spend required. The vouchers alternate 1 on wk 1 then the other, then repeats.
We also have received additional vouchers for Shell fuel ...a lot of buy 30 litres and get bonus 500 points etc.

So now we'll focus on spending at Coles as the Woolies target has risen to a level I don't like.
This will then bring the Woolies entry level down over the next 8 to 10 wks me thinks.

I'll now only shop at Woolies if the offer is really worthwhile as I now want to train their algorithm to start to 'worry' about me as they wont see me at Woolies or Caltex.

Then again, we'll undoubtedly make the flip.

All an interesting game. Currently our bonus points for these programs seem to average 5X.

I got spend $70 for 4 weeks to get $50 off. There are no dates on when the offer starts so I don't know if I should go out and spend $70 today or wait until tomorrow....

I'll probably shop today anyway, have a triple points and a double points offer to use

Mine is $60 a week for $50 voucher. First week starts Aug 4. Bit envious of those with the $100 voucher offers!
