Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Got mine this morning, spend $100 for 4 x $60 spends.
It'll be tough for only 2 of us, but will try our best :)

Wrong idea. Activate offer but do NOT use your Fly Buys card NOR buy anything more than what you would normally.

After 2 weeks at most of NO apparent shopping (not using your FlyBuys card) the offer should improve. Using a 4 week apparent stop on shopping yielded a drop from 500 points for $110 shop to spend $50/wk for 4 weeks and get $50 voucher.

By not loading up your home with advance purchasing chasing large weekly spend targets you are getting more value for money.

They game the system - why shouldn't you?

I received the $50 spend target for 4 weeks, to receive $100. Am thinking of doing it, however am not happy that the $100 has to be spent in one shop. It would be much better if the $100 could be used incrementally over the 30 day period of its validity. I tend not to spend that much in one shop, so I will be really struggling to actually take advantage of the $100, particularly as gift cards etc are excluded.
Has anyone had previous experience with these sorts of offers - do the T&Cs actually get applied?

Mine is huge 4x$190 spend for $100 return . Not overly happy considering some of the other much lower offers being sent out others. This is more of a disincentive - looks like we will follow Ram's advice above

I realise that gift cards are excluded from the qualifying spend, but are they also excluded from the resulting credit usage?

Agree with this, and have had the flybuys card on ice the last couple of weeks & doing our shopping at woolies. (Which I prefer as I can't use coles petrol vouchers)

My average weekly shop is $30-40 on basic weekly groceries, add maybe another $20 to it if I am in need of toilet paper/laundry powder/etc.

To stretch an extra $15 or so for 4 weeks to earn $100 is good economy in my books.

I would prefer to spend the $100 over several shopping trips but I'm fairly certain that it will all come off in one transaction or not at all. It is basically a discount built into the account which triggers when the card is swiped. The conditions remind me of other promotions where you have to buy voucher/offer amount plus 5 cents of goods before the money off will trigger.

I'm hoping that the week I get the $100 of groceries for free there are plenty of half price non perishable goods that I can stock up on. I mostly get fresh stuff from Coles so I can't really buy two weeks worth of fruit, veg, deli, milk etc in one transaction. There are some goods I buy from Coles which never go on special but I'll have to be careful which goods I choose as I don't want add too much to my stockpile at home.

I can't wait to see the checkout operators reaction when I end up paying less than a $1 for just over $100 worth of groceries.

If I'm lucky I'll even be able to take up some other offers where I have to buy a particular product. My baked beans offer from last week would work with this transaction as it just nominated a particular product to buy rather than spend a specific amount on a product.

This weeks offers:

Spend $30 at Liquorland or First Choice Liquor for 750 bonus points - Valid until 10 August (Valid for multiple transactions)
Spend $7.50 on Yoghurt for 150 points - Valid until 13 August
Spend $7.50 on Coffee for 100 points - Valid until 20 August
Spend $7.50 on Bakery products for 100 points - Valid until 20 August

All offers will go to waste. Have plenty of alcohol at home, won't do shopping until Thursday week, don't drink coffee at home and $7.50 spend on bakery is too high. I'll only get these points is if sister goes shopping.

My T&Cs state that to claim the $100 I have to spend at least $100.05, so it is definitely in the one shop.

The only new offer I've received today is for yogurt which we don't buy. I have no idea why they would target this product group but I've had coupons for it and docket deals. I didn't expect any other offers given I have the 4 week $100 offer. I'll be spending my $50 on Friday but I'll only be able to combine 4 or 5 offers this time. Will advise the exact points total on Friday afternoon.

Sometimes the T&Cs don't seem to mean much.I did a Coles shop this evening.Bought a $50 which took me over the qualifying spend and the docket says-
Congratulations.Just 3 more weeks to go Your week 1 qualifying shop is registered.
Wouldn't count on it though.

Also today got a Liquorland offer-1000 bonus points for a $20 spend.A 25% discount on minimum spend appeals to me.

Got online deal - spend $30 Liquorland get 750 pts - not bad.....might be needing some sav blanc ;)
Otherwise happy with todays shop of $82 on hubbys account
Docket deal - spend $50 get 1000 pts
Docket deal - spend $80 get 1000 pts
Online deal - buy 2 x bulk huggies nappies get 1000 pts

The huggies and liquorland deal are multiple use which is handy, esp with nappies.....(and wine) will buy now, and save for later as they're on special too!

Received a Your Choice Target Offer today:

Spend $60 on clothing at Target for 750 points OR spend $100 for 1500 points OR choose Triple Points. Chose triple points because I don't anticipate spending $60 on clothing in the next 2 weeks.

Mine printed out on the docket AND I got an email from Coles at FlyBuys 'Congratulations, you've completed week one!' 2 pieces of evidence - I reckon I can count on that.:)

$50 for 4x$30 shops. Not as good as some, better than others...

Also, are fuel discount vouchers no longer a redeemable item?
