Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I still haven't received any paper coupons in the mail. Pity, because I always tried to use them.

I think if you use too many of them, they "cut you off" so to speak as they feel they have gained your loyalty.

I usually use maybe 35% of them for a variety of reasons

Without coupons, I actually start shopping at times/days for amounts that I naturally prefer (as opposed to artificially spend - you should see my toilet paper stash, bought when I need to pump up a spend) . Unfortunately for Coles, that means a drop in spending - and very little 'big' shops. Plus, I start spending at Woolworths too.

Just got an offer for triple points which lasts until next Tuesday. It still won't make much difference to my top up shop, probably on Sunday. I'll have the triple points email, triple points coupon and double points docket deal. That's still only 3% worth of points and not as good as the 5% discounted Wish cards but there are a one or two small specials I want to pick up so we'll give that a go.

I received a new type of targeted offer from flybuys. I was asked to do a survey on travel for 50 points. The website the survey connects to is run by the same people who do the Tell Coles survey. Due to a technical glitch I couldn't connect to the site and complete the survey. I'm used to the Tell Coles 50 points but I didn't know other surveys were coming. Perhaps this will make up for the 90% drop in the reward for the Tell Coles survey. I wonder if flybuys is starting something similar to the Qantas Red Planet system. If they want to be competitive with this however they will have to raise the reward rate to more than 150 points per survey.

I've just done the survey. Didn't overthink it just went through while browsing some other travel sites and stuff. Not overly taxing and 50 points is 50 points.

Doesn't 50 points convert to 25 cents? I think it is a very poor reward for completing the survey. If it takes about 5 mins and I imagine it would take at least that then 200 to 300 points reward should be the minimum.

Got the same offer (only on one account).

There are ways to get 5% off Coles cards through a number of affinity schemes etc.

Two accounts got that yesterday, so clicked to answer mine. So many people must have been doing it as it was taking 3-5 minutes to load each screen. Gave up after 18 minutes - worse than piece work!

I was able to complete the survey today. Thank you for your advice. The survey pages loaded fairly quickly so luckily I didn't have the time delay issues mentioned earlier.

Quite a long survey for only 50 points.

I stopped doing them after they reached 500 points. Instead now I send a reply email telling them that they are wasting my time.

Stop trying to rip people off with the 50 points and many of us will actually give you proper survey responses.

The erewards are not renowned as good points earn for time taken but for that length of survey you would expect to get the equivalent of 50-100 VA points. That shows the FB offer as very poor value

I didnt click

agree re poor value. i clicked through to see what it was about and see if there was any value in doing the survey. definitely not worth it for 50 points

I just got a competition. I've never paid any attention to these before so I don't know if they are usual. I'd much rather get points, but was also thinking of some new reading glasses which this seems to include.

What sort of points would I get on a $500 pair of glasses at OPSM anyway?

As it's $20 of fresh fruit and veges OR the other stuff, obviously the fresh f&v is easy. Goes to 29 Feb.
