I am flying Scoot soon with my family from Changi to Aus (Disclaimer: not by choice!).
I have paid for the fare with the inclusive Scoot 'meals'.
My partner has already stated that she refuses to eat it, and if the meals turn out to be anything like Air Asia meals I will probably struggle to eat it too.
We are thinking to try to bend the 'no outside food' rule and bring a few snacks on board - in particular we need to buy some things for my two year old daughter, as she's at a stage of picky eating & we can claim there are dietary requirements.
Does anyone know if there are any western style supermarkets or minimarkets in the terminal or near Changi locality where we can pick up some fruit, small yoghurt pouches, muesli bars, ingredients for small sandwich, etc? Will airport security let you bring it in? Or is there anywhere in the airport where you can pick up those kind of small snacks for a reasonable price? I am thinking it will be easier & more discreet to get away with consuming that type of food on the plane as opposed to trying to smuggle in a hot hawker meal purchased at the terminal - that would defeat the excuse of dietary requirements, too.
Thanks in advance - apologies if this is a dreary question
