I could pass along a couple of relevant IPs to do a traceroute from the server if anyone with access wanted....
I’ve been watching this thread for a few days and it seems to me there are only two related issues. A. The problem is not of your making so there’s nothing you can do at your end to directly resolve the issue. and B. The problem lies with your ISP or local NBN etc routers blocking or failing for a specific set of ip addresss that are at or on the route to AFF. The trace routes above seem to confirm that (although some intermediate routers these days don’t always respond to the TR ping.)A couple of us have raised tickets with ABB, so we'll see what happens. Cheers.
What app are you referring to? Firefox? Chrome? Safari? Other web browser?Back again, same error occurring, not going directly to the web site thru the app. Am using an iPad on WiFi in my hotel if that info is of any import to the IT gurus...
Called ABB today and explained the issue, asked them to assign me a new public IP in a completely different range. New IP came through about 15 minutes later and fixed the issue.
Old IP was 202.153.215.x
New IP is 180.150.65.x
My IP was already in that address range.....
Have you tried accessing the website via its IP address?
Ping the website by name “Australianfrequentflyer dot com” to get the IP address
Then http:// the IP address
Does this work?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
WRT. IMHO. None of this will help. It’s an NBN or ISP issue blocking or failing on the ip range for AFF.Turn off Antivirus software
If you can access website via VPN - I wonder if this is a OSX firewall issue.
Delete browsing history
Power cycling Router
Otherwise..
Delete this system file ( backup first):
/Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration
Then power cycle the Mac. OSX will recreate the folder with default config settings
Or an ISP DNS issueWRT. IMHO. None of this will help. It’s an NBN or ISP issue blocking or failing on the ip range for AFF.
