You're not wrong, you just don't like champagnes. I don't like beers. I also don't like most sweet wines/sweet bubbles. It's just personal preference. I don't like mushrooms or mangoes, either, and people who love these foods would think that I'm crazy. *shrug*
Perhaps you are right.

I had a Laurent-Perrier Brut on a TG flight in business earlier this morning and it was quite easy to drink.

Who said ice road truckers isn't educational? ;)

Epiqure seem to have this in a case of 6 for $250 a bottle. Anyone know if that is a good price? I can't find it on dan murphys website.

It's a very decent price. I've seen this retail from anywhere between $230 to $340. Qantas would be getting a good discount on them, because with my suppliers I could only get it for about $210 a bottle.

Also the Heidsieck and Billiecart are okay prices, but not amazing.

Will be in F tomorrrow SYD/BKK on 747. Not the 380 () but bring on the F Lounge taste buds ( 4 Champs) and happy to finish at the Tattinger Comte on the plane.

Will arrrive BKK spent

But Ooh what a feeling:)

Billiecart Salmon is my all time fav.

It is often listed as one of the J choices, but have never been able to get it; "Sorry we have just run out, have some Laurent Perrier, instead"!

Every time ... coincidence?

Update: I managed 3 glasses of the Billecart on QF30 on Monday. Then they ran out .... made me switch to the red which was V nice!

I didnt love the Comte on board - the flavour was ok but the aroma was quite off putting.

Does anyone know what the current sparkling in the QF Domestic J lounges is in MEL and SYD?

The current 4 champagnes in they SYD F lounge

Tattinger
Delamotte
Bollinger
Veuve Clicquot

The first 2 are quite OK but the taste gets muddled as you get down to the 3rd and 4th choices. I am sure the experts do not have the same sort of problem....

The experts tend to taste by the sip, rather than by the bottle :)

Hmm just in the lounge now - tried the delamotte but it seemed flat - nit sure if that is the style or the bottle had been open a while.. Switched to a perkier Bolly.

Delamotte is lovely Champagne - From the Salon stable. Probably open too long, if it was not up to scratch. That's sad.

The bolly is slipping down quite nicely - just waiting for 11AM to tick over so I can follow up the bacon with some fries :)
